Day # 7 & 8 Update
I got nothing done yesterday. The offline buisiness had me awake for 38 hours straight. Nuts!
Today I got my third batch of long articles from the main writer. I also got the first technical writing from my second guy. I will set those up tonight so that they are all uploaded over the weekend.
I still haven't found forum posters. This week was just ridiculous!
After this weekend's posts I should have around 53k words on it, give or take. I'm targetting 100k before I begin promoting it (socials/press release).
If anyone reading this could give me some advice on press releases I would really appreciate it.

Day # 9 & 10 Updates
This has become a conversation with myself. So be it. At least I can remind myself what to do next.

3- Wrote up a bunch of news articles.
4- Applied for G News inclusion.
5- Really finished all socials and set up auto posting to them.

I got 4 more news articles and 2 product reviews up. Offline business has been messing me up on the site work lately.
My main writer is sick. I may end up doing some long writing myself this weekend (sigh).
I think I have found a few forum posters. Will test them out in the next few days.
Made a little progress on the PR campaign, but not much.

Journey Update Day #13
I got some good news yesterday and today. I'm getting some trickle traffic from the search engines. It's not really significant (roughly 25 visitors), but it makes me feel good anyways. It's coming from Yahoo, Bing and Google. They like my current news stories. It doesn't really mean anything yet, but....
I was able to create a major article last night (nearly 3k words) by myself. This is the article that I will be referring people to in the first PR campaign. It's professional, newsworthy, and should be a good way to introduce the site/get the word out. I'm looking forward to the results. I haven't really gotten any suggestions on the PR from anyone, but I guess I'll just go with PR Web. My only question is how much to spend with them?
I have also added about 6 other articles. I wrote 5 of them myself, and one came from my technical writer. My main write has the flu, so I doubt that I will hear anything from him until hopefully next week.
I need to focus a little more on organization. I need to keep a log of what has been written, what needs to be written, and adjust along the way. I'm kind of winging a lot of it right now. Eventually, it will get too big to do that.
The main plan for now is to just keep putting good content on it. I'm targeting the first PR campaign for January 10, or thereabouts. The only linking I will be doing until then is my posts to my social accounts that are automated. I should probably work on those socials too before the PR so that it doesn't look so lonely.

Still getting a tiny bit of SE traffic. Should go over 30 today. Of course it means nothing, but it strokes my ego a little.
I ordered 1k FB likes and 1k Tweets. They are just to make my socials look like someone reads them. I'm just trying to prime them for the upcoming social/pr push. I guess it may not help at all, but for $4, what the hell?

Screw the rant. I changed my mind. I spent too much time on here in the last few days. I will limit myself to only posting here, as much as possible, and no more than 15 minutes on BHW in a day. I don't really have time to mess around here anyways.
On the site, I'm working on a few things. I may be using BTB's service, even though I said I wouldn't place links on the site, other than socials.
Someone sent me a link to a legit PR service. I really appreciate that.
Another person showed me a 2.0 creation service I will consider. I appreciate that too.
I made 2 small articles today. No content at all from the writer this week. Sigh...
I have a hand full of forum threads running, but I'm having a problem there that I need to figure out.
Thanks goes to Prob for the links. I am subscribed to two of them and have posted a ew times in them. On the best motivational one, I'm reading it tomorrow.

Are you talking about the backlinks I made on socials? Yeah, I'm doing that for legitimacy and to set the stage for a social push down the road.

Day #16 Update
On the site, I wrote 3 news stories and 1 huge top 20 product list. The top 20 article is great, and I'm excited about expanding on it. I also placed one technical writing into the pipeline to get posted later tonight. I spoke with my main writer a bit. He's starting to recover but I kind of doubt I will get anything from him this coming week.
On BHW, I have had some flat out freaking weird experiences the last 48 hours on here.I mean really weird! I played around on here for longer than my self allowed 15 minutes, but just about all of that was while I was driving. Yes, I know that's retarded. In my defense, I have been driving and reading for around 30 years. Pathetic? I know.
On fun stuff, my youngest and I are going golfing in the morning. The wife goes to work tomorrow night, so I'm planning a late nighter to do a bunch of writing. I really need to focus on the content to get to my 100 pages initial target.
P.S. Did I say I have had some weird experiences on here? I'm sort of missing lurker mode.

Day #17 Update
Offline, I had a really fun day. My son and I went golfing, and the course was practically empty. I did pretty well too! I had a bit of work to do, but turned my phone off after that.
On the site, I did a lot today!
1- Wrote a bunch of new articles. How many? I'm not really sure, but I spent a good 2 hours writing, and I felt good about everything I wrote. I should get some articles from the main writer in a few days, so I'm using his down time to put as much into the site as I can. I have a pretty long backlog of articles cued to post now. I'm trying to keep it really random though, including some days with no posts at all. I'm going to spend at least another hour writing tonight after the family is asleep.
2- Ordered BTB's link pushing service. You can find it here. I know that I wasn't planning on creating any links outside of socials and an eventual PR campaign, but I couldn't resist. It's very exciting. This is the most automation I have been involved with since my help from SweetFunny with the scrapebox, and my old cloaking days. Really fun!
On the link pushing service, my initial thoughts are that I am really impressed. I ordered 12 monthly link pushes. He has a deal on them now for the first month at 1/2 price, so I bit on it. I had all 12 of my first pushes set up in around 2 hours or so (I'm slow).
It basically creates articles that link to your target url's using various kw's that you give it. It then primes those articles by creating other articles that link to the tier 1's. It's a crazy ass maze of articles and backlinks that all end up juicing the given url.
The only negative issue I had was that:
A- You can input up to 15 kw's, but the input box is a pain. I wish there were 15 separate lines so that I could fill in each one and then easily see what I have typed before. That probably doesn't make sense, but it was a pain to me.
B- You can also manually select 5 articles to use in the tier 1's, but twice I accidentally hit the enter key and it was too late to pick the articles. Maybe there is a way to correct that, but I couldn't figure it out.
Those negatives are really minor ones, and I just have to say that I am already a big fan, even though I have no clue as to what the net results will be.
I am a little worried that I may be doing this too soon. I think the site is just around 3 weeks old, so I am probably pushing the envelope speed wise. I asked BTB for a hint on how many pushes I should do to the new site, and asked if 10 was too many. He basically said that's too much, but didn't give me a hint into the proper amount. So I just went with my gut and set up 5 pushes to the new site. Is that too many? Idk.
On the 5 pushes I set up for the new site, one was just to the home page. 4 were to pages that I like. 1 was set to 3 different pages/url's. I used all 15 kw's (or pretty much) to each push. I mixed it up using the primary kw, maybe 8 long tails, a naked url, and then the remaining on random "click here" types. I hope that sounds about right.
For the remaining 7 pushes, I used 6 for five of my offline business sites and 1 for a site I made to help a friend.
The other thing that I don't know is when I should submit new pushes. As one is completed, do I create a new one immediately? I have no idea.
I guess that's enough/too much. I'm just excited.

Day # 18 Update
I wrote 5 articles today. 2 were on news stories, 2 product reviews, and one funny one.
I just checked and I have 53 articles on the site, and I think around 20 that are waiting to be loaded. I am not posting anything on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but I may push a bunch through over the weekend. I'm thinking that I will cross 100 in about 2 weeks. That's a big hurdle that I'm excited about jumping over.
If I get there (I will), that will be 100 articles in the first month. I'm guessing that around half are 1k - 2k long, maybe 30 will be in the 500 words or so range, and I'm guessing that 20 are going to be around 200-300 words (mainly news articles). I think it's a pretty natural looking profile. I think I have a healthy mix going.
If I can keep this pace up for 6 months (I can and will), I'm looking at 600 articles by June. At that point I will have some really nice traffic, or I will do whatever it takes to make that happen.
I also have a ton to do with the forums. I really, really want them to look lively by the 6 month mark. I need to focus on that once my writer gets back.
