Hi guys, just wanted to share a trick I use very often to guess when some specific page was published by looking at the date when Google indexed it. For those who don't know it yet.

- Let's say you want to know the date when this page was published:
Code:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/advertise.php

- Go to Google and search for the URL combined with the inurl: operator.
Code:
inurl:http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/advertise.php

- Then add the following parameter to the Google SERP URL showing in your browser: &as_qdr=y15
Code:
http://www.google.es/search?q=inurl:http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/advertise.php&pws=0&nord=1&gws_rd=cr&ei=1EuPVLzLMISAU9OFgdgE&as_qdr=y15

- Reload to see a new SERP showing the page indexation date:

That's it.

IMPORTANT: this shows when Google last indexed the whole page. So if a page was published and indexed in 2008 and then it has gone through some major code changes in 2010 (for example), Google will recrawl and reindex the whole page again so the trick will display 2010 as the indexation date.
