If a site gets penalized by Google, say for using too much prstorm, how long does it take for penalization to stop?

I've heard from many ppl that once that happens it's best that you just purchase another domain and start all over again. It's kind of like a GPA it's harder to bring a F back up to a A+.

But will Prstorm really cause your site to be penalized? cause anyone can use it against their competitors.

If it google that penalized you they have a reconsideration request you can file

no, I don't know if I was or not, is there anyway to know? I'm ranking #1 for some keywords, does that mean I have not been penalized?

Well, if your site is still being recognized in the top of keyword searches and your site is still accessible then you are not penalized.

One thing to watch out for though is using PRStorm too often because google can catch on. I'm still learning it though as well.

You can use the google webmaster tools and also ask google to re-index your site. They will ask you questions like "what SeO service have you used?" and a couple of other questions.

I think if you just tell them honestly, there'll be a high chance you'll be index again!

First of all, what is pr storm>?

Another thing you can try is to scan all URL that link to you (I Have a program to do so). Then use xrumer to link not to your sites, but to those that link to you instead.

That way you're improving the quality of sites linking to you rather than the quantity.

Once that happens, forget it. I had this arcade site I heavily promoted. I was on first page for many keywords until Dec 08 and the site was dropped (although still indexed) like a bomb.

It's made me realise google cannot be depended on. I guess a competitor shopped me for buying links - something I'll never do again...
