I was permanently suspended on the bay for two years, until i came here and read up on stealth accounts, I am now on the 3rd month on the bay and all is well, taking it easy, they have just bumped me up to 75 items a month and that will do me for a long while.
But i cannot find the answer to this question.
I have an android phone, i used to use it on my OLD ebay account via the app store, I am how ever, changing my network provider from 02 to EE network, i want to down load the ebay app into the new phone as it would be very handy, BUT, it will be on my original phone number, Will the app know my number, or would i have to change that too.

Too risky for you to use a stealth account, anyways, you'll get ban, stealth account or not. (seems weird yh)

eBay has web beacons in its emails to log your IP which can link your accounts, you don't think they have something like that in their apps?
But if i log in through a dedicated IP address which is ONLY used for the stealth account, not exactly sure it is a stealth account tbh, It is an account set up by one of my mates ALL in his name and address, bank acc etc, with a mobile broadband connection for the online activity, NOTHING is connected to my old account.
How does it log you email IP???
Please dont reply expecting the poster to know itr all, if we knew it all, we wouldnt be here

It's not just the web beacon IP thing, it's that eBay does sneaky things like that to try to link accounts. The concern people have is that there will be something in the installation of the eBay app that will link old account to new one.

If you really want to use your phone to access eBay then use the browser. Don't use eBay app or you get link and suspend again.
