Amazing posts by Freddy here. I bought a domain today and set up a nice looking theme on wordpress. Tomorrow I will add the review of a product. When commenting, should I link back to the specific page on my blog or to the root domain? Also, when doing blog comments, should I add the link to the url box and use my name as the link anchor or should I add the link in the comment itself? A comment that has a link it in looks really spammy to HQ blogs I would assume and those are the ones I'd want to target if I'd want to get any traffic.

Mix it up and find out what works. I like to link to both, mixing up whether to post a bare link or a hyper with different keywords/phrases as this looks more natural to G and helps individual pages get ranked down the line. Mix it up on blogs whether to link in your name or in the comment itself too. Remember your target keyphrase for each page but don't overdo it, something like 25% in your hyperlinks with your target KW is fine.

Don't just assume a HQ blog or news magazine will delete a link - most don't if you are clever, while some don't even check. The key thing to remember is - add value to the page you are commenting on and it will rarely get deleted. These are the sites you NEED to get exposure on, not to ignore - they will get you a lot of traffic if you succeed.

EDIT: The reason I do comments the way I listed is this: Facebook and news articles will get you instant traffic, but won't really help you with any juice and the pages rarely get visits a month down the line. That's why I will copy/paste someting pre-written to save time. All I am trying to do with them is create a funnel and catch any impulse buyers or curious people.

It is the Blogs, Forums and HQ News articles that give you traffic long down the line and help with juice (If they are do-follow of course). They all get ranked high in search engines and their audience are usualy laser-targeted to your niche. This is why I don't copy/paste as much on them. Take a second and add value to each thread/post and people will click on your link years down the line - get in quick and your comment is right at the top for maximum exposure.

How many sales though, aside from the 1, have you earned since this post?

My old laptop was too slow & aggravating so i got a powerful desktop; I've spent the past week setting it up.


I just resumed commenting last night in fact. My new desktop is like a dream - I can fly thru my work now, thank goodness.

Nope - no more sales after that one, but I'm not discouraged.


Trying to sell toys at Christmastime seemed a bit daft to me anyway - so really I see this period as a time to just architect a system & get the bugs out.

I do expect to make more x-mas sales on amazon (I got approved for amazon's UK/france/italy/germany/spain sites & I installed a wordpress plugin that automatically routes international traffic to the correct amazon site) but I discovered meathead's system so late in the year that i don't expect much in the way of sales this year. Next x-mas will be another story. :raiinbow:


After Christmas is when I expect to see real results, since I can go after actual niches (I don't really consider x-mas toys/gifts a "niche" - it's more like a mass-hysteria "event" or something.)

A niche, I think is more along the lines of the fat girl who has to attend a wedding in 2 months; the guy who has a drug test at work next week. Things like that.

Someting happened today to prove my point about adding value to an article you are commenting on.

Today, I managed to get a comment posted on a VERY big news website in the niche for which the product I am about to launch is in. I have tried to get comments posted before on the website in question many times, and failed miserably.

This time though, I really made an effort. It took a good 20 minutes to write and was just under 800 words. In fact, I had to shorten it because my original draft was over their character limit.

It is a big, well known site, which the vast majority of you will know and they always moderate comments.

30 minutes later, I got an email from them saying that not only were they posting the comment, it was their "Top Pick". It is right at the top of the comments section now, forever.

The result?

Nearly 600 visitors in less than 6 hours, from ONE comment!

The point is this, on big news sites, blogs and forums, if you add value to the article you are posting on while using this method and you are persistent, the results will come eventually.

On the side note: I am searching the news with my kw-s but I can't get more than maybe 1-2 search results with my kw-s. The niche is huge and for females. You just said that you went with an ultra quality comment but have you tried the opposite? As I can't really seem to find targeted news or blog posts would it be a profitable idea to just "spam" comment popular news sites where women hang out. This way it's not that targeted but I would have more places to comment to and the niche is as popular as something like "make up" or something like this is for women. I see all these thrash gossip sites have shit tons of people there. I also see general "spam" comments where people say - "I make 7k a month, visit this site to learn more" etc. I am wondering if this kind of commenting yields any results?

If you re only getting a few results, you're doing something wrong.

For instance, if you are promoting Venus Factor, don't just search "Venus Factor", you'll only get a handful of results. Search for "Weight Loss", "Diet" and "Lose Weight", and comment on any article, blog or forum you find.

If your niche is huge, search everything within that niche. The product I have built is in a big niche but nowhere near as big as womens weight loss etc, yet I still get 100+ pages in search results to comment on every day.

If you still are not getting enough results in G searches, promote a product within a more popular niche.

Commenting anywhere and everywhere will work, but don't do it manually. A scatter-gun approach has a very low CTR and is not worth the manual labour.

It is a really good idea, because according to my observation a lot of news sites post about the same story, that is actual within the niche so you can reuse it within the period it is actual. For example, when iphone is being released the articles like "iphone reviews" "Apple announced new iphone" etc... are posted, If someone turns outs, that iphone bends, "iPhone bends" "user complaints about bent iphones" etc... are posted or when Apple gets fined similar stories are posted across almost all the news sites. So you can play on it and make cash.

I'm assuming these are CB ebooks? If so, do you do comment (aff link) -> product page? Or comment -> your site (aff link)-> product page?

Nope.

Won't be on CB until Jan 1st. Comments are direct to a sales page with a different payment processor.

I'm sorry to hear that. However, I've been using G Alerts for a couple of weeks now and it's been pretty great. I get updates every hour or so.

I receive my updates into gmail inbox. The only thing you have to pay attention to, is to open the email "thread" in your gmail and scroll it down. There they are the freshest updates. Even if the main title of the thread in your inbox says "3 days", just open it and scroll all the way down.

But of course, past 24 hours or even past hour search works good as well.

Over the past week I've been reading and absorbing all 57 pages of this thread. Taking notes, having ideas, writing them down. If I'm not mistaken my implementation of this method will be completely new and should net me some amazing results. I have off work the next two days, it's time to get work done!

@Freddyjames - what do you think, if i will make it even easier, wont create any real domain or landing page and place just links that will redirect traffic directly to some CPA/CB offer, will my comments be deleted more often?
