Today, a friend of mine told me he found a way to make money with a new "way", he got in contact with a big factory who sells beverages for restaurants, bars etc.

He explained me to get into this business as reseller, you would buy for 100$ a website to open your own e-commerce store of these beverages, then after you have the website, you should pay another 200$ to get all the items, beverages samples etc you need to show as a reseller to your clients.

When you start selling this shit finding new clients every day etc you will need to ask to your clients that they can make money with your beverage business and get a % as reseller.. so it's a pyramid scheme.. I explained to my little friend not to trust these kind of poor people, I don't know what to tell him..

He told me he knows many friends who do this and it's a legit business.. for me it's a trap, btw he didn't explain me this work to do reseller under his referreal, he's sure to pay now the company to start his business lol, what do you think? Is he a sucker, isn't he?

Well your friend might be excited with the idea of making money that way! To make money all one is need is a belief, any idea will work out otherwise :) Probably its the time for you to invite him to BHW! :)

A company that asks YOU to pay them before they pay you... LOL

Sounds like the vemma / verve scam.

Its amazing how people fall for MLM so much, when one can get a white label of almost any type of product and create their own brand for the same amount that they waste on MLM. Plus one can do offline marketing even easier with their own branded product if its locally branded, which MLM won't be.

What many people like about MLM is, it is a pre-built business machine, whereas IM usually requires building something from scratch, which has a much lower % of success. In practice, the average IM or MLM person has the same success rate--about 5%, the same goes for forex--meaning, the criticisms these schools of enterprise give each other is like the pot calling the kettle calling the pan black.

So what about my friend? Is he going to be scammed by this company or could He still make some money from what he will "invest" ?

If he treats it as a business, he can potentially make money (assuming the compensation plan is not shady). I myself got started with MLM, made some money, but found IM to suit my taste better. I don't have to call people up and go to meetings if I don't want to.

But just like IM, and pretty much any business, 95% of people who try MLM will fail and make nothing because they are looking for that "no work" get rich quick button.

You're right, maybe my friend want to make fast money, but he told me after his investment of about 300$ in total, he would setup his e-commerce with fan pages using social networks and getting possible clients who could buy the beverages from him, he should get a good % from selling, but in order to make more money he would find other clients to get affiliates under his name.

When i hear about anything about network marketing, my mind tells me to run. And run i do.

Seriously anything that has to do with network marketing benefits on a few people at the top of the pyramid. Take your friends story with a pinch of salt until you see the results yourself.
