Quick question about being safe on Tumblr.

Right now I'm running a blog with a tumblr bot and seeing some good results, but want to obviously scale the process.

I want to copy the exact same blog to lets say 4 new Tumblr accounts and run my bot. I will give each account a dedicated IP address from different locations. However, I'm wondering if it's safe to create each account from my personal IP address. Will Tumblr ban the accounts for being created from the same IP address even know the activity is coming from a different IP?

I really appreciate the help in advance!

If they find out and make those associations, then yes, you should expect them to ban all of your accounts.
If you are able to stay stealth, then you should not have an issue.
My suggestion is to run each account on its on VPS Server, so its always nicely seperated.

How would running each account on a different VPS do anything when I'm already using proxies?

Just buy a high quality proxy subscription for 5 proxies, make 2 more accounts so you have 6, and grow them. Use a bot that supports proxy binding and then you shouldn't have to worry about IP footprints.

Most proxy services are flagged as proxies by many social media sites and services.
There are companies that maintain these databases and identify the users are behind proxies.
The same goes with VPN services.
When you are using multiple vps servers, the ips they are hosted on are in good standing for the most part, and are not identified as part of proxy networks.
Therefore, it looks much more like you are 4-5 seperate people.

Furthermore, I think you will find that many of the back connect proxy providers that are anonymous are still allowing your real ip to come through.

Some yes, others no.

Otherwise I'd have many of my accounts terminated by now if that was completely true.

I've opened many tumblr accounts from my own IP address and have never had them banned because of that. Once set up I use bots and proxies.

However, I have had several banned that are proxy related. See thread:
