Hey guys,
I've a short question.

I have a Fanpage with about 2.2k Likes and I want to promote a post that I posted there and of course I want to track it so that I can see later in my Google Analytics account how much clicks I got and so one.

The problem is I don't know how to do it. I tried to add a special tag behind the url for example: http://mydomain.com/?p=123&source=fbads

But when I post this on my fanpage the 2.2k Fans see it and click on it and when I promote this post then I can't see how much clicks really come from the ads and how much from the organic traffic generated by the fans..

What do you mean? You know all your analytics for FB are in your ad manager?

Download and install the free version of p202.

From there you can generate a unique link and add tokens as well. (ie. FBAD1, FBAD2 etc)

You can also track clicks from the original page where you redirected your users from.

Okay I think you miss understand me so I try to explain it better to you I hope I can do this because my english skills are not so good.

I have a Facebook Fanpage with 2.2k Fans and when I post a link there that I want to promote later with Facebook Ads I can't see how much visitors actually come from the Ads you know? But I want to track these Visitors to see in my Google Analytics Account how much visitors from the Facebook Ads clicked on my AdSense Ads to see what my ROI is.

I hope you understand me now. I am sorry for my bad english.

In GA click
Behavior -> Content -> Landing Pages
Enter your trackingcode you added to your link in the 'advanced search' and it will show only the traffic that you sent with the trackcode.

Oh I misunderstood....
You want to get it separated... well you can do this in facebook ads directly when you set up the ad, then the ad will have the trackcode and the original post of your won't...

Stats on FB Ads manager will tell you how many website clicks came from the Ads. You only have 2.2k likes, the clicks you get from your fans will be negligible compared to what you'll get with FB ads.

You will have to use URL Builder if you`re using Analytics:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033867?hl=en

You will have 3 fields that are required: source, medium, campaign name.
So you can say: facebook, cpc/organic (depending on what you do) and name of your campaign.

If you need anything else, feel free to hit me a message; I`ll be glad to help you out.

for sure niftystats.com perfect stats analysing tool
