Why I Cannot Get More follower on Tumblr, Please Help!

Hi all, about one week ago I start my Tumblr journey, till now I get only few followers, please help me to check my steps and point out what I have not wrong.
1. Pick up my niche, mine are related to porn.
2. After pick up my niche, go to the account which is related to my niche and follow the followers on this account.
3. Don?t let my followers are less than my following. (This is my problem, I got 142 followers but follow 600+ users, anything wrong?)
4. I don?t want to use reflink because I don?t have a domain. I would like to share the movie download link there. (Each download I get paid around $1, but now I know I haven?t enough followers so I will not post it until I have enough followers.)
Can anybody give me some advises? Thank you very much!

Well first of all are you using quality content on your tumblr ?
Do you post content related to your niche ?
Are you using tags & hashtags with main keywords related to your niche ?

Dont post any links yet unless you build a huge follower account.

You should share your tumblr posts on twitter and instagram too, that should gain you more followers.

It's very hard to start on Tumblr. Once you get around 1-3k followers you will gain more and more. Tumblr is a big snowball.
