Need Ebay and Paypal help or advice please.

Speaking with family who was over for the holidays my oldest sister started talking about ebay. Of course no one knows I only have stealth accounts so I am all ears.

She said paypal sent her a message asking for her drivers license, SS card, utility bill so she faxed it to them. Within hours they shut down her paypal account and closed her aypal debit card.

She said she called and they said they are not allowed to tell why but something she purchased raised security concerns.

She has had the ebay account since 1996 and the paypal account she said is from 2001.

I would like to help her but did not want to discuss in front of all those family members.

Her ebay account has 10,000 feedback. 99.9% with all 5.0 dsrs.

She took everyone listed off for sale because she said no way anyone can pay her. I need to help her but do not know the answer. I thought of pro pay but many people wont use it.

Any suggestions? Have her call paypal back and speak with someone else? Any chances of her getting it back?

How can she get paid other then getting a merchant account?

Attached another paypal with no debit card work?

Attaching another paypal might cause them to close it as well in connection to her old account.

It's kind of weird that they closed her account for suspicious activity after she faxed her info and proved her identity.

Yes she sent them all this information and within hours stated appeal denied, your account will remain closed and the debit card has been cancelled.
Her ebay account is perfectly fine. How can she continue to use the ebay and get paid because they have everyone so trained into taking paypal.

Ebay account is still good. It is just paypal they shut down. Ebay account is like gold. No issues at all for many years. So how does she get money from sales as everyone is trained to pay with paypal. When ebay and paypal split will this end the forcing of accepting paypal?

Dont attach anything to that account. Its no good anymore.

Teach her stealth. Once she learns how to stealth properly she'll know how to maneuver around ebay and paypal confidently. She could stealth from here on out or she can use someone's info which I don't recommend unless she really knows whats shes doing. This is what I did. I'm in agreement with a family member who doesn't even use ebay or paypal. I treat this account as its my own child. Nothing shady or unexpected happens on it since I test goods on my stealth accounts for a good while before I post on this the main one. It still doesn't guarantee I will avoid getting listings pulled, but it does reduces the risk some. Play at your own risk.

The ebay account is fine, tons of feedback, golden account, just the paypal is limited. Will the split coming between ebay and paypal hoping ebay will allow another way to get paid for ebay sales. Do you think this will happen.

They share info. I been in her shoes before. Link up an new account. Works for a little while, then down it goes as well.
eBay alternative ways to get back on wouldn't be around if it was as easy as attaching another paypal account.

Has she talked directly to paypal over the phone? If not, she should. She needs to ask if they requested this information, why her account was closed, adn what she needs to do to get it back. She needs to point out all her positive feedback and she needs to point out her long time relationship with owning a paypal account. This should help!

Doug, toml and kawgy are right. Doesn't matter if the account is fine right now. Doesn't matter if there are lots of positives and what not. Only thing that matters is the limited PP account that was linked to this ebay account. Period.

Eventually, and by my experience soon, they will restrict the selling limits on that account. Not that is matters since she can't collect payments anyways. They will send you a nice e-mail saying basically:

" Fix your problems with PP first and then we will see"

Attaching a new PP to it is just a waste of another PP account.

Going to help her attach another new paypal account and see how it goes. Ridiculous to have a solid older real account and not be able to use it. I also told her to look into merchant account to get people to pay with credit cards.

When the ebay and paypal split happens, will this mean you wont be forced to accept paypal?
