Why I Cannot Get More follower on Tumblr, Please Help!

Hi all, about one week ago I start my Tumblr journey, till now I get only few followers, please help me to check my steps and point out what I have not wrong.
1. Pick up my niche, mine are related to porn.
2. After pick up my niche, go to the account which is related to my niche and follow the followers on this account.
3. Don?t let my followers are less than my following. (This is my problem, I got 142 followers but follow 600+ users, anything wrong?)
4. I don?t want to use reflink because I don?t have a domain. I would like to share the movie download link there. (Each download I get paid around $1, but now I know I haven?t enough followers so I will not post it until I have enough followers.)
Can anybody give me some advises? Thank you very much!

keep following 200 ppl a day , and you will be fine , reblog popular post in your niche . you can do around 50 in the beginning

Thanks! If I reblog 50 a day and then post my own pics 50 a day, totally 100 a day, will I get banned? I've heard from BHW that if reblog too much will get banned, is that true?

I can't give you any advice on reblog limits but you haven't been following 600+ a day.

The systems limits you to 200 per 24 hour period, and around 100 or so max over a few hours. It will keep letting you hit the + button but those people quit actually being added after you've hit 200 for the day.

Following people is a waste of time. Learn the ropes with tagging and post good content. Eventually, you will see people reblog your stuff. Link to your own tumblr instead posting download links and you will get more love. Monetize later ... maybe in 2 or 3 months. Just my 2 Cents.

Thanks infoasian, but is it real that follow people is a waste of time? If I don't follow people, then no matter how good my content is then no body will find them even though I put tags.

I found being "active" helps, now by being active what I was really doing was button bashing pretty much everything in my niche, likes, follows, retumbles, along with good stuff from my niche.

Tumblr is active and I have found you don't get nothing for nothing like the old days of Twitter. People follow you because they "think they want to".

Remember that's what marketing's all about making people think they want to. The age group of tumblr think they are empowered, and therefore want to feel like they are making a decision. Easy to game, but that's the irony of life the more free and radical society thinks they are the more subtle you have to be, but still the end results the same, sheeple doing what sheeple does.

Stroke their ego, like their posts, retumble a few, and your in.

I also found on tumblr, your reach is greater with fewer followers if they buy into you because they retumbl your posts more regularly with an avalanche affect.

Talk to your followers more so they trust and find you more interesting.

Always use popular and trending tags in your post, you will start getting natural followers.
