Figured I should probably do an intro, as much as I hate writing them. I heard about affiliate marketing years ago and really I was just too naive to go about it the right way and failed miserably, but now I have goals and determination. I want to do better for my kids and move back to my home state (3k miles away) and having those two goals has lit a fire under my bum to say the least. Not sure how I found this place, googling something I would assume, but I'm here now and like what I've read so far. You guys give me more spark to stay on track and I really need that, so thanks. Plus all the info is great, I just get lost on were to start sometimes.

If I were you, I would start in the white hat SEO section (or the black hat SEO section if you already understand white hat SEO). If you need help understanding any of the acronyms that people use here, then here's a short list of 10 of common acronyms used on this forum.

1. CMS- Content Management System (such as Wordpress)

3. CPM: Cost per mille (cost per 1,000 views)
4. CPI- Cost per impression
5. LSI: stands for latent semantic index.
