PayPal are on a banning (limiting) spree

What is the deal with PayPal, they are on a banning spree. They limited 2 of my accounts in the space of a week. They said on the last email. I have no idea how they managed to link 2 accounts. I use dynamic IPs, I sent money to the other account months ago. But I send many people money via Paypal. Does that mean they will go and ban everyone I have ever sent money to? WTF?

Maybe you used the same name. Create a new PayPal account for one of your relatives. New name and new account must be ok.

nah was totally different names/surnames.. I've had them for over 2 years.. Don't know how/why they decided to ban them both this week. or how they even linked them together?

Do shopping carts give out info to Paypal if they suspect one user is using 2 accounts? that's the only other thing I can think of.

In recent times, you may have tried to open the old pp account and must have used its correct password. PP will not allow you to open the banned account, but at their backend a log book will be written still. Then you must have used the new account without clearing the cache etc... You get linked because the earlier password matches (with the old banned account) and is recorded on their system. Then the new account password too matches (with the new account), a link with the old banned account gets confirmed, and the system produces a linked-with-banned-account alarm for them to go in for manual fingering err.. review. This could have happened and they got the match through the latest IP you used, etc...

hmmm, though I have different browsers for each account. I use chrome for one and firefox for the other one. the IPs always change because I reset the modem each time. I always check this before logging in, so I don't think it's this.

I'm thinking the shopping cart may have something to do with it.. as I use the same cart company but 2 different accounts, so 1 account for each PayPal account.

Your mac address won't change even when you restart the modem or flush the dynamic IP to get a new one. I've read another thread today where Paypal is holding 15% of all incoming transactions for 180 days so I guess they're enforcing new rules while banning all the suspicious accounts.

Banning accounts on IPs or even mac address sounds unreasonable. Just imagine that a husband and wife use different PayPal accounts from one computer and IP address. According to that PayPal must ban all of them. It's nonsence. I'm sure they use some proofs like bank accounts, credit cards etc.

Never heard that they would and never seen any option for that when working with different client account integrations. I doubt that shopping sites could care less how many accounts the buyer has.

Just suggest you. Clear your cookies and all history of your browser and create new paypal account

they are detecting your browser, try to use firefox portable or chrome portable, install it and after you finish remove it.
Also, you can use diferent VPN or VPS for every pp acc you have.

I used to do large transactions but I don't have registered business. I got paid in several thousands without invoices, etc and my account got a reserve limit. Some are a 180 day reserve and some are 1 year reserve. They hold $57K of my funds and will get them after the reserve period is completed.

I literally got in to debts, tried several times contacting them. They are not ready to lift the limits and the only option is to wait until the reserve is completed.

They asked me to provide invoices and other supplier documents. I do CPA business and hence I cannot provide these sort of docs.

My accounts are absolutely clean but I am not sure what happened from my end that caused the limitations.

You have the answer into your first post - "I sent money to the other account months ago".

That is a crucial moment. Being Stealth, no such thing can be involved. EVER. Or some day (later or sooner, as you said - "months ago", then the day has come this week) they'll be linked and limited (or directly banned).

Still more months to study this. Also for Stealthing it is not recommended to use any kind of dynamic IPs, don't know which guides or so you've been "studying" this - some are out-of-date, others are overused, etc. Keep in mind that a link can trigger after an IP match as well.

For example - on 24.04.2014 logging from X acc with IP Z. You reset, reset, reset, etc.

On 29.08.2014 logging from Y acc with IP Z again. Then you reset, reset, reset, no matching of IPs.

And few months later, after "recent review" - they link both of the accs - when they see all of their transactions, activity, behaviour and so.

If you used the same computer, IP, a reference in a payment with the other accounts name, or connected payments in anyway, they can connect your two accounts. Use CC Cleaner, a VPN when logging in (I prefer HideMyAss), and always clear your cache.
