I've been able to get $55-65/hour jobs consistently on Elance as well as highly paid fixed priced jobs. I would like to expand to another freelance site. Do the typical earnings on jobs on Freelancer compare to Elance? Is there any other network with high priced work?

My skillset is in marketing strategy, finance, and investor relations...

Freelancer is a dump.

I'm in that range with hourly rate at Elance too (recently upped to $65/hour and bidding accordingly). I looked at Freelancer and it's a shithole. Not sure any other freelancing place can compare with Elance. It's got the better platform, protection for both seller and buyer, and it just attracts the bigger players. Most of my customers are companies (hmmm actually, all of them might be now I think), and the other sites cater to the low rent blaaaahgers who I avoid like the plague.

At our rates, we have to target companies not shitty IMs or blaaahgers, so I think you'll find that Elance is the better platform.

Freelancer has by far the most volume, Elance is not even close, which is what attracted me to them. Are there site where jobs are maybe 20% lower paid than on Elance. I am getting all the work I can handle on Elance, but I would like to expand past where I am now, hire some people and manage their work.

I'm not about volume. If I wanted that junk, I'd go to fiverr. I leave the volume junk jobs to poor people.

Just out of curiousity - how about comparing Elance vs. oDesk?
