We see a lot of repetitive posts here on the forum and i think one of the biggest reasons for that is our unwillingness to use the search button. So I thought I?ll quickly share my custom method of searching BHW. I hope some of you will benefit from this neat trick. I use chrome so we will use that for this example.
1. Go to Google and conduct a search with the ?site:? modifier. Since we are searching BHW we will enter ?site:blackhatworld.com? after our search query. In this example my search query is ?onestopwrite?. So this is what i enter in the Google search field-
2. Copy the URL from the address bar. Open Notepad/Textedit and past the url in there. Now replace your search query in the copied URL with ?%s?. So in this example I will replace ?onestopwrite? in the copied URL with ?%s?.
3. Right click on the chrome address bar and click ?edit search engines...?
4. Locate the bottom box that says ?other search engines?. Scroll further to the bottom where you see 3 empty fields.
Enter anything you want in the first field. I entered the site name. The second field is important- it?s the text that will trigger the search command. I entered ?blackhat? here. In the third field enter the URL we modified in step 2. Click done.
5. Open a new tab and type in the term you entered in the second field in step 4. For this example, I typed in ?blackhat? and instantly you can see that Google gave me an option to ?press tab' if I want to search BlackHatWorld.com.
Once you press tab the address bar will change as shown in the image below and now you can type in whatever you want to search for. All the results shown will be from BHW only.
I hope this will encourage more people to search BHW & perhaps we can drastically reduce duplicate posts asking the same old questions thereby also reducing the burden on our mods.
