Instagram account questions

1. How many accounts can be registered per mobile device?
Most people are saying 5 accounts, but I have seen someone saying 10 accounts, which it is?

2. If you cross the total account limit will there just be "Too many accounts created on this device" error or can existing accounts get banned?
If there is simply the error then I can try out myself where the limit comes, but I don't want to risk my existing accounts just to see if I can still make new ones.

3. How about deleting some existing account using Instagram "I'd like to delete my account" option, would that reduce the total number of accounts registered on the device and allow to create new account? Anyone tried this?

I'm looking just to create 1-2 new accounts and would like to use the same device to keep it easier to update all accounts. At the moment I have 4 or 5 accounts created with same device.

2. It will throw that error and if you use the same IP, those accounts will be banned (or limited via mobile or email checkpoints).

As for your final statement, I'd look into rooting your phone (assuming it's not rooted/jailbroken already) and just changing your device ID. This can be done on Android via adb shell, then just modifying the device id file. You'll need to change the 16 byte long android-%s one, as well as the UUID4 GUID. Just google, "How to change android device id" once your device is rooted, and you'll be fine.


Aside from those menial steps, your best option would be to use a service like igerslike or followliker to manage multiple accounts for automation purposes. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck.

I'm using WiFi with dynamic C-class IP address so the IP address its not exactly same, but cannot be sure how IG is defining the IP address as same.

I'm aware of the possibility to change the device id and can easily do it (Android device), but I was thinking that it could be big red flag if almost same set of accounts would start using the new device id with new accounts, maybe I'm bit too paranoiac with that.

I will give a try and will setup two new accounts now. I hope that in worst case I just get the error and old accounts are still safe.
