if youre buying to sell with profit you really have to calculate this as risk
now alibaba is in the market so i dont know if they have better policies and moderating
but a lot of sellers arent trustworthy even the gold ones

Yea I'm guessing it was complete BS from the start. I've done some research about their "shipment website". They give you your tracking number and have you put it in there. Everything seems to be going fine up until the shipment gets "put on hold by customs." Then they either ask you for more money to have it shipped to you, or they ask for money because they added too much product to the order.
On a positive note, it was only $360 bucks and I already knew the risks involved.
Right now mine is being held up at customs in Canada. The blog I found with the guy complaining about this happening posted a tracking code also. I looked up the history and it's all the same stuff that has happened to me, other than the different locations of course. It got held up and just stopped there.
I'm guessing they didn't even ship it, but just edit their website from time to time making it look like your product is being shipped. This is some well thought out bs in my opinion.

i dont know where you live, but is it logical that canadian customs have the package? I mean, it is shipped from turkey right?

I live in the United States, so really it makes no sense, unless it's cheaper for them to ship it that way. I"ll wait a week, who knows maybe it is being inspected since it's an overseas shipment.

Update: The guy replied and said I have to pay $235 because the package got seized by the Canada custom control. And if I send him $235 the package will get delivered today. He said to contact his shipping company if I have any questions.

To sum it up, I put together a bunch of conversations, billing addresses, his company information and just sent it to Alibaba. Hopefully some sort of justice will be taken.
Also, if you guys could tell me who to contact if I wanna report this case to the authorities. I doubt the Canadians will do anything, it has nothing to do with them since the guy is all the way in Turkey. Plus I know nothing of how strict the laws are there, so I'm doubting anything will be done.

I sent a complaint to Alibaba, Internet Crime Complaint Center (FBI), Federal Trade Commissions, and Cross-Border complaints. Provided them with all the information I had on this guy. I may not get my money back but I might at least stop him from scamming other people.

You really need to research a bit more on a seller before you buy if you see T/T payment or Wester Union or Money Gram just keep scrolling down .. this is what I do until I see PayPal. I made an order through Alibaba last month and got my shipment within 1 week so everything was good they even put a lower price on the package so I dont pay a lot of tax and duty. You just need to find a decent seller and it's not too bad but its 1:100 ratio to find a good seller there .. I got lucky. Just be careful check their background carefully and ask for pictures and proofs.

Before conducting business internationally, please see what their business culture is like for both domestic and international clients.
It will save you headaches by preparing yourself for headaches.
Keep tabs on them but business does take time and I think we take a lot the advances in business in the modern era(speed, communication, etc) for granted as not a recent and unique and amazing thing.

Not sure what is going on with this thread, but depending on where you do business in China, they had some holidays recently and tons of snow. I didn't hear from my suppliers in about 3-4 days. No worries.
