Web 2.0 Blog Networks

Hey BHW,

I've just checked out a BST which offers Web 2.0 Blog Network creation. I was wondering what your opinions are about these and also I'd be glad if you could help me out with my quesitons.

I'd mainly need them to rank niche sites built on low competition keywords along with keyword specific Web 2.0 properties for each site of course.

1. How powerful can they be if built and maintained properly compared to PBNs? Are they worth the time?
2. Should I just keep creating keyword and niche specific Web 2.0s and don't bother with Web 2.0 networks?
3. Can they become more powerful in long-term? I wouldn't want to spam them with articles and I plan on using hand-written articles just on my Web 2.0s.
4. What would be the topic of these? Just start them as XY's Personal Blog where XY would blog about various topics?
5. Have you built / bought these sort of networks?

The main point of the would be to be cost-effective and apart from content I'd create and maintain them myself.

I only recommend using Web 2.0s for backlink diversity and anchor text diversification. Web 2.0s are great for that because they are cheap, but brand new Web 2.0s are going to have very little linking power compared to PBNs.

Even if you blast your web 2.0s with a ton of tier 2 and 3 links, they still won't have the power of a good PBN site with legit backlinks and some age to it.

That said, if the competition is low enough for your searches, you can rank with fart backlinks

They are not going to be as powerful as a quality private blog network, but with enough links built to them to juice them up they can definitely help you rank. There are plenty of medium and low competition terms that I have ranked using nothing but Web 2's in my tier 1 and GSA to build links in tier 2.

How about combination of 50:50 of PBNs and Web 2.0s, with the latter used for generic keywords and naked urls.

I've ranked websites in moderately competitive local finance niches with just web 2.0's. As users said it's a great way to diversify your backlink structure and especially use these web 2.0's to diversify anchor text ratios and use them for naked URL's or generic anchor texts.

But from my experience web 2.0's are best used along with high powered backlinks like PBN's and using the most powerful PBN's to link the more valuable anchor texts.

I have thrown manually 100 web 2.0's with single post linking to 1 money site url with some long tail anchor texts 3 days ago and started building links to them with GSA SER. Will see if this helps my ranking...

The keywords is low to medium comp with 20k monthly searches. Right now i'm on page 2, result 2.

I'm expecting good results.

There where a few service posting on old web2.0's (some of them on blogs with PR).
I remember 1 member had web2.0 networks on different niches. Just check the marketplace or try the advanced search funtion.

You definitely need to add them to your link profile, any good source should be welcomed.
