CB hoplinks will just get removed. You want to be seen as "innocently" asking a question about a product and pointing to a review for opinions. Much easier way to get comments/posts to stick and get past moderators. On top of that, reviews in general convert much better than direct linking to a sales page - even if you were to be able to generate the same traffic to each.

Spam links get you visitors, but not trust. They also get deleted and your account banned.

Create trust with your readers by giving them quality, free information via a review blog or MNS and the sales come off the back of it.

I cannot believe this. I was checking my google analytics and I noticed I got 2 clicks from search engine traffic.

Using solely this method, just THREE DAYS after posting a review on a wordpress blog on a domain that google deindexed for "pure spam" quite awhile ago (it was a failed wprobot experiment), that post is ranking highly in BING :bryce: for the name of one of this year's best-selling toys (according to all the "hot-toy" lists). Bing says it has 5 m-m-Million results for that particular term.

I've done ZERO seo on that post. Only meathead's method. Simply incredible.

[Update: I just realized it's on page one of everybody's favorite neighborhood search engine ... rhymes with "Bling" .. for the toy name + a certain seldom-used word (*cough* "review" *cough*). 2.1 million results for that term.

Breathtaking method you got there, meathead.

Keep testing and trying new things.

155 clicks so far to the review, only 1 clickthru to Amazon. roud:

Even allowing for Amazon's delayed reporting, that's at best an abysmal 0.84% CTR.

Of course, the next X clicks could yield untold riches I suppose.

Any thoughts on when to throw in the proverbial towel & either tweak the message and/or landing page or outright change the product?

Put another way, what can be considered a meaningful sample size in this regard?

If you throw the towel in, you will be like the other 99% who want to make money online and give up. Successful affiliates fail more than the unsuccessful ones.

A low ctr usually means the message or product is not good.

Just keep split testing until you find a product that works. Add more reviews and comparisons.

Although I am now researching it, I would like to ask, do you have any recommendations for a wordpress split testing solution?

You get 30 days free with max 10,000 visitors. You can easily test every image, every headline, everything on your sales page ... it's incredible. Any retard can do it. :jerry:After the 30 day trial, it's only $50/month. That's $17 a month less than I'm currently paying for Magic Submitter. Hopefully I can dump that turd and go this route. Been bashing my head against the SEO wall for I don't even want to say how long. :banghead:]

Can't take Amazon's inane click tracking - switched to using screen-grabbed Amazon images (using software called Jing) in the review post (rather than Amazon's fancy iframes). The images then point to "Pretty Link" links which point to prosper202 links for tracking. :juggle:


Now I'll know exactly how many clicks I get instead of guessing.

No subid tracking, but I can live with it. Can always work backwards using google analytics to figure-out which comment URLs the amazon click-thrus (and, hopefully SALES) are coming from.

[UPDATE: it works beautifully. :drinking2 I just saw (in realtime in google analytics) someone hit the site and saw (in realtime in prosper202) them click-thru to amazon! Interestingly, they clicked a text link rather than an image.

I wonder if this is an example of "banner blindness." This click-thru to Amazon happened right after I changed the page: I used to have just one text link, at the bottom of the page. I copied it & sprinkled it throughout the review text. The text link says "Click here: <PRODUCT NAME> ON AMAZON.COM" ... and they clicked one of those text links.]

Thank you. That gives me a target to shoot for. Right now, I'm very slow. Doing only news articles, I have to create accounts (when can't login via twitter or facebook), verify email etc ... incredibly time-consuming.

I could not imagine doing 50 per hour. I am struggling to do 30 a DAY. But it gives me a target to aim towards.

Regarding Buzzbundle: when I set up a stream with just "Blogs" searched, I find that the most recent "mentions" as they call it - even for extremely popular keywords like "forex" - are DAYS ago. Like 4, 5 even 6 days ago.

There's no way in hell :alien01: that not a single blog in the world has failed to mention the word "forex" within the past day or two. :dontknow:

Would anyone happen to have any insights into that? I tried Link-Assistant's "live chat" but nobody answered. :indiffere

What do you think about bodyclick? For example, if my visitors clicks anywhere on my web-site amazon.com will be opened in a new window, so the cookie will be stored and if he/she orders anything within 24 hours the commission will be mine. How do you think, will amazon ban me because of this?

Oh wow. I had no idea my posts were appearing like that. I have the blackhatworld "style" set to "Black Light vB4" (so I see a light background rather than black, otherwise I get a bad headache) so when I post it automatically sets my text to black - which if you have the style set to "Black and Gold vB4" then you see my black text on your black background. I will go thru all my posts and change the text color.

[Update: actually, it must be a problem on your end - in your browser or something I guess.

I just switched the style to the default "Black and Light vB4" and all my posts look fine in my browser with either style. The bhw site style software automatically changes the color of the text to match the style, as would be expected.

So I'm going to continue posting with text color set to "automatic." Otherwise I can't see what I'm typing (white text on white background.) If you can't read my posts, I guess you could check your browser settings or something? :dontknow:
