Didn't Know Reconsideration Request Works!

That statement is a bit ignorant, don't you think?
I have quite a number of sites with 50-80 visitors a day - and they each pay me a solid $x,xxx per month.
It's human nature to think the whole world is just like us, but thats a pretty limiting way to live.
Congrats. My 2nd request was denied 2 months ago, So It took me another month to remove the links and other stuff. When I went back to the webmaster tools to upload my disvow list, there was no partial penalty message It just disappeared. I searched online and found out that penalty expires after a certain period of time. Now I have to wait for the algorithm update or who knows how long

P.S. For the people who would say start a new one. I have other websites and I am working a lot of them but this one is related to a certain brand name so I can not start over

Do you think it was worth the effort? I just forget my penalized sites and create newer ones for the same niche.
Am I doing it wrong ?
I am also doing it, when my website is penalized I immediately create new one, I only work on the penalized website when I have free time and submit reconsideration there's no harm on trying anyway...
