I just thought of this right now, If you want to skip the uploading process, what you could do essentially is start a youtube live event, scheduled for whatever you want (for example lets say a meteor shower that is gonna be streamed from telescopes at a certain time) You setup your live event, and then you find a broadcasting application (as if you were running your webtv show) and just set it up to stream your desktop - in otherwords, the other stream that will be live.

As soon as you have finished your stream session - your youtube video is already online.

So you could plan your stuff ahead and literally be out playing football or drinking a beer and you are generating videos.

This doesn't works, unless you caught something interesting on that video. Few months back, I tried this method on earthcam by capturing live streaming video, that is just a boring video, nothing looks fancy, thus not much views on youtube!
