Can't afford new domain, use old one or create a subdomain for new method?

I started a website about a year ago following bluematter's method(adsense + seo) and it didn't work out so well.. even though I made over $100 but due to not being good in SEO i messed things up.. mostly because of my inexperience with IM at the time.

I've learned a lot since I've joined BHW and I feel confident this time around..I'm going to build a website towards amazon and do reviews.. either way, I've got hosting and a domain for a few years but I don't have $ to buy a new one, even though it's cheap..

The domain I currently own, now only has 20 backlinks built to it according to ahrefs.. should I use this domain for the new website or should I create a subdomain since subdomains holds no backlinks from the main domain..

What do you suggest?

If you google the words domain coupon, there is always a godaddy ad up for 99 cents. If you can't afford that, start a blog and do reviews. Use social media to help you get the word out.

I don't have the 99 cents, so you suggest using the same domain that I already have?

Not too sure what you're asking here. If you can't afford a new one, using the same domain is pretty much your only option. Subdomains are best around an established site, with separate categories/locations.

Besides, it's not like you have extensive backlinks that would be wasted if you chose a new niche.

I'd suggest to get some money before jumping into IM...

I don't know how to answer your question, because I don't know what your domain name is. Is the name appropriate for reviews? If not, just use blogger.
