Please don't give your twitter info to anyone...
also, 97k isn't really enough and it would help if you make a Wikipedia page about yourself. Your best bet is asking one of your friends who is already verified (if you have any) to contact twitter and ask them to verify your account. Otherwise...just the normal $15k in twitter ads might do the trick.

Let us know how you get on. Re the follower count, I've seen verified accounts with less than 5k followers; but maybe they had the advertising spend...

There some people who only have 200 and 300 followers and have verified accounts and accounts with 2 million followers but not verified. It's all random.

hey sorry to bring up dead threads. But I believe to get a verified account is you must have a website and a website email they then will check the account and then check by via email to that email account to make you verified. But I would just research this online there was a lot of websites that had how to get it verified with out asking you for your information, but more like step by step on how about going getting it verified.
