Hi.I got an US based paypal account and bank of america account too.But i am not living in US.in my country paypal doesn't allow me to accept payments.So i want to use my US paypal account but paypal need ssn.I don't want to avoid from taxes but i am not in US.How can i solve it? how can i accept payments via paypal?

First off..

How did you even get a BOA account? Are you from the US? Did you live in the US in the past?

Now to answer your question..

If you have a valid SSN, never used your SSN on a limited PayPal account and if the name on your SSN matches the name on your PayPal account then I would go ahead with sending your SSN to PayPal to get that account lifted. Now if you don't have a SSN then there is really no way to bypass this other then persuading PayPal to ask for another document like EIN number.

Paypal does not need a SSN, but they like to ask for it. Offer them alternatives like proof of your US based billing address, i.e. some bill of merchandise, bank statements, credit card bills, etc.

To Deryll: Yes, non resident aliens are able to open bank accounts in the US. Why not? A lot of foreigners invest in the USA. That's why there is so much money in your country because it's a free country (more or less).

I swear paypal has an option to send different information related to tax information that is different from the SS# but kind of the same for foreign countries. Not sure though, but I see this kind of information available for different sites.

try to get a usaa account to verify your usa based paypal...
and you can search some underground sites for real ssn with their address ...
