What kind of hosting is needed for Xrumer?

I'm taking the plunge and getting xrumer as soon as the guy replies on ICQ...

But, wondered what kind of hosting should I get to use it with? I'm looking for the best possible solution -- not the cheapest.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Xrumer is a desktop application. As far as people talking about a server, they are speaking about an in-house server such as a dedicated higher-end pc if your on a low budget, and then I'd recommend a high bandwidth internet line - T1 if you have the cash.

That's not necessarily accurate - many people lease a Windows server from a host in order to take advantage of good hardware and a faster connection than they'll be able to get at home. Further, A T1 is only approx. 1.5 mbit; your cable/DSL is probably considerably faster than that.

as for hosting, I use a dedicated windows server and I am able to run all sorts of software and applications fine.​

I'm not really worried about making the money back quickly...I'll make it back with the sites I'm going to promote.

if you have a halfway quick internet connection, start with that first. XRumer has a steep learning curve and you would waste money if you try immediately to go big. Try to get comfortable with the tool and then start on your dedi - my reco.

I have a technical partner so, we ended up putting it on it's own server along with some of our other "programs".

It's a nice little set up and we look forward to taking over the world soon
