So I use a VPN IP vanish. I register with a false name and pay with prepaid card setup with false information too. I also buy that prepaid card in the middle of a BIG Metropolitan City, I don't buy it in my town.
Now when I use Google he always seem to find my location (I play "SEO" game at my home).
Now I use Windows 7 which I think is my first mistake in term of keeping my privacy.
I NEVER use Chrome for obvious reason
Firefox, Opera only and I will try Safari, thing is Firefox also leak information:
The thing is that modern browsers can obtain the local IP by themselves (using the local OS), not by relying on the server. Except when you run all your traffic tunneled (Open vpn etc...)
I would like to know people in here who use Linux which I think is better in term of Privacy.
Also I think the best option to run thing anonym would be to use Tail
then setup a server:
1. Go and buy a $5 to $9 VPS with minimum 512MB RAM (buy with a anonym prepaid card everything under false information).
2. Setup a LEMP stack:
- Linux 32bit (do not use 64bit because consumes more RAM). Personally I like to use the Debian 6 minimal 32bit (netinstal) image. If you can't use the minimal image then uninstal all software you don't need that comes preinstalled (e.g. Apache)
- NginX - use this instead of apache. Works a billion times better especially on such a low specs server.
- MySQL
- PHP with APC extension
You can also install other software you might need like a mail server or whatever.
3. Go to VPSBible site and use their guides and other guides you find to setup your server.
4. Search for some NginX and MySQL optimization guides or ready made .conf files.
A server setup like this can handle in excess of 18000 request per hour (5-7 req/sec) to wordpress blogs that don't use caching or in excess of 3.6 million req/hour (1000 req/sec) for static pages (including cached wordpress pages). All this with just 512MB RAM and the requests will not consume excess RAM as with Apache. If you're running your own custom coded CMS that doesnt waste up memory like wordpress, drupal, joomla or other CMS' do, then you can handle in excess of 100 requests/second without caching.
And finally setup a vpn on that server.
Beside NSA i don't see who can spot you.

In the newer browsers (all but IE6, IE7, or IE8) may ask you for your positioning information from the browser. It usually shows up as a bar at the top of the browser. The browser then gathers two specific forms of positioning information from your computer: your IP address and the signal strength of any wireless network near you. That information is then sent, if you approve it, to Google, which returns the coordinates you are at the moment.
[...]
If your wireless reciever is turned off, or you're at a stationary computer, all calculations are based on the IP number. These kind of lookups are quite arbitrary and inaccurate, I just get to the nearest big city when trying to use it over a non-wireless line. But mobile connections are slowly taking over landlines, so I guess this problem will solve itself automatically.
