How can I tell if my website is visually appealing?

Some say my website is nice others say it's not so nice. It's located on my profile page if you can give it a quick visit to see if it's nice or not.

I used my imagination and created a story with all the colors and images connecting in a way that only an imagination can see. Like how the languages on the island is like choosing a destination.

But I'd like to know if my website is visually appealing or how it can be visually appealing.
Please let me know what I can do to improve. This is my first website that I created from scratch so i'm still learning.

My honest opinion, your site make me dizzy. If it were mine, I will make a new one because nearly everything on your current site is mixed up, puzzle, confuse and look very messy. Anyway, it a good start.

It honestly looks like it was created from homestead site builder from the late 90's. You will not gain anything from having dollar bills in the background. As someone said above, use wordpress and get a nice theme.

With a site this horrible, I don't think getting constructive criticism was your intention at all.

I think you're either cookie stuffing somewhere, or just trying to get traffic in the hope it will miraculously convert.

In any case, your site looks like poo dude.

Unfortunately I can't find the site, so I guess OP deleted it from his profile. Don't let yourself get pushed down, or take any of that personally. To be honest, as shit as your site may be.... it can't be worse as my first site I made with html & css. People told me too that it looks nice. xD Surfing in cow crap would have been more pleasant than my site.

Start making sites with wordpress and a good theme. Also, try to make your site as clear as possible. More != better. Think of your site as a road, and your job is it to make it as easy as possible for your visitors to find the place they're actually looking for. If you have a million road signs, you'll just confuse them.

please don't get me wrong, i don't want to offend you or anything.

There are a lot of resources you can use to build more professional looking websites, CMS like, wordpress, drupal, joomla etc.
