Getting Twitter Verified for Athlete

Hey guys,

I'm an athlete wondering how to get my twitter verified. Former D1 football player, spent a little time with some pro teams, and currently a free agent. I was wondering if I could just have my agent contact somebody over at Twitter and have this done. Can anybody help guide me in the right direction on who my agent should contact and what information he should provide in order to get my account verified? I have read that verification can be done if you can get in contact with the right people, however I am having trouble finding the right people and how to contact them. Thank you in advance.

Yeah..have your agent contact twitter. You can send a request email but that has a very low success rate. If you have a agent, that might be alot faster.
 
Best idea would at least have a wikipedia article about yourself to show your relevancy

I would like to have my agent contact twitter, do you have any information on who I should have him reach out to?

Would love to make the process this simple, but don't wanna spend $15k on advertisements.

I would also love to know how to get a Twitter account verified. Another question - does anyone know how does Twitter verify a company account - do you have to email them some documents? If so - which documents?

Leith and I have been testing this quite extensively. I'm not going to tell you what we've learned from our studies, but I know Leith may consider a 4 or 5 figure offer to verify it.
 
Getting a wikipedia article sounds great - but how do you do it? I know others have to publish about you and you are supposed to use that as a reference to back everything up?

If anyone knows how to do wikipedia articles, PM me.

You can't be that great of an athlete if you don't have a wikipedia already and your "agent" can't be that great if he doesn't know how to contact Twitter.

This, and definitely have your agent handle it I notice a lot of athletes who I think 'should', be verified are not, so good luck with that.

Thank you. My agent isn't from a big name agency, and in my free time I thought I would try and find who he could contact to put my agent in touch for a seamless process.
 
you will not be verified if your not listed in an official roster of a team - 100%
free agency means nothing it means your like one of us. step your game up and get on a team then entertain this.

I know a couple of free agents who were verified after they were on a roster, so I believe it may still be possible. Thanks for the response, would love to step my game up and get on a team!
