So what happens to children under 10 who are caught committing serious criminal offences (I've met some nefarious children before, so don't doubt their existence)? The youngest person I know of who was arrested in the UK was Mary Anne Bell (convicted of manslaughter), but she was 11 years old at the time.

They'll be taken away from their parents and put into care but exceptions have been made. Thompson and Venables were taken into custody until they were 18.

That should not be insulting to you as it was not directed at you... Tommy and I are good and we both agree that these are heinous crimes.

If he is guilty he sure will get what is coming to him.

I know it was not directed at me, just insulting someone based on age is just a low blow imo. But ya, karma got him. Only a few years late!

But if the minimum age to be convicted of a crime is 10 years old and Thompson and Venables were both 10 years old when they mutilated James Bulger, they wouldn't really be much of an exception to the "minimum age of 10" law since they were of the minimum age (unless the law was different at the time). I'll probably have to read a little more about that law later, but thanks for sharing that.

I doubt many have to learn by his mistakes to not download kiddie porn, it is just something which you would not do.

Btw how come he's already in prison while all of the rapists + pedophiles from Rotterdam are free? Am I missing something?
