It looks as though Google has reached the point where they can no longer support the little guy. The rich are being favored and the poor are being suppressed, forced onto the streets with no hope in hell for making a quick dollar to support their families. This update is the perfect example for an elite society.

Google stock dipped on the 17th, which happens to be the day Penguin was released. As soon as the update rolled out, stocks went up.

The people that are gloating in my circle are the ones that can afford to hold PBNs in the thousands. Untouched and even improved in ranking. Others in this community are even waving the "I survived because I'm awesome" flag, even though they use link networks.

So really, Penguin 3.0 is not really about fighting spam at all. It's about wiping out low quality links in order to increase advertising revenue.

What is next?

i don't get it why theres still people give a damn about google there's tons of methods on BHW to get traffic especially if you are just a "little guy".

Because once you are on top of el'G, you pretty much have a stable income without any further work. However updates may screw you. The update did not hit a single of my pages, they keep rising. Just go whitehat and put some effort into your linkbuilding guys, not that hard.

You can't stop competitors throwing spammy links your way. NegSEO Wins.

1. Rank a site on Google
2. Make Monies
3. Reinvest Monies and rank more sites
4. Save cash for rainy day + Continue Step 3
5. Get hit my penguin --> Use cash reserve/new sites to bounce back
6. Create legit websites with legit links like I legit business
7.???
8. Me profit long time

A lot of people get off track after step 2.

I ran a 10 month long NSEO case study and threw MILLIONS of links at 5 different local authority sites. I use slightly different styles on each site and till this day not 1 has lost rank.

And I disagree about this update being for "the rich". I've checked hundreds of different industries in my state and see little guys outranking franchises all over the place. The people who really "win" are the smart ones who test nonstop and never give up. And fatcats are not immune to updates. Just look at ebay.

This is very true. Has happened to me over and over. I rank a few sites, put thousands in the bank, money comes in on autopilot so I sit back and relax.

That's why most important thing I've learned is to NEVER stop working no matter how good you're doing. Same thing happens in the stockmarket. People start making money, are doing good, stockholders become complacent then the market crashes.

You don't do negseo with millions of links.

That's what I was trying to tell him. Some of the more experienced marketers said to use sape then report the site. But I don't think that would be effective either as everyone one do it.

The Google brand has adopted a churn & burn method, of their own they are killing the very foundation that built them *trust* I give them probably 5 to 10 more years definitely not 100.

Oneself is ones ultimate destruction, just look at what happened to hitler the world couldn't take him down it was himself that did that.

LOL I Just said all this too cheer up some folks here.

Theirs is many ways of doing NSEO, I just fear that so many people will resort to this type of seo and be forced to do it simply because the way Googles playing things now.

Um, Google has come out and admit NegSEO is a thing, and claim to have placed detections in their algorithm. Don't you think that millions of links would trigger that?

Yep, it sucks big time.

One of my sites doesn't even rank for it's keyword despite loads of quality backlinks, the fact that the domain is the EXACT keyword, the domain happens to be 10 years old, and high quality site.

Instead some big brands to do for completely unrelated sh*t.

With that attitude you'll be taken off your stride in a matter of months... once you get on top, you should work even harder to be there as you have to keep your reputation and at the same time you have to fight the spam people throw at you.
