G00gle insights for search

Sorry if there is a thread already or this is in the wrong place. (please move if needed!)
So anyways. G00gle insights for search.
Anyone use this for keyword research? If so I have a few questions if ya dont mind. Otherwise those that dont use it or dont know about it may learn something I hope.

How accurate are the search results? (Number wise I mean.)

Does using quotes around the "keyword" mean much with this tool? (Ive noticed a difference in the trends when doing this.)

I think this would really be an awesome tool if used correctly and if the results are accurate. Especially the local search feature showing which states, counties, and cities search most for specific terms.....ahem! graigs list LOL!

I got a video about this from Howie (email opt in list) and would be willing to share it but am not sure if it would be cool with the mods here.(cant post a link anyways) But anyone who thinks it would be okay....feel free to do so in this thread for anyone else that could use this.

Insights is nothing more than a tool in the tool box. You don't necessarily rely on it to do everything like a swiss army knife supposedly would lead you to believe. As you already stated, use it correctly and you'll get what you want.

I personally use it just as a tool along with other tools that all compliment each other. Insights just gives me what the breakout keywords may be, the graph of interest over time, etc. It's pretty self explaining once you look at it.

The geo-targeting feature of it isn't so powerful in my opinion. I haven't used it to strictly geo-target, but so far in my attempts to use it with a BST method I bought a while back proves to me that Google isn't providing geo-targeting info in a profitable manner yet for people like 'us'. At least for the type of money maker I was looking to do...you still need a "suite" of tools to get what you want in other words.

Was sorta what I thought. But are the numbers at least fairly accurate as far as the search terms and such? Also as ask does in"quotes" make a difference with this tool?
Of course I wouldnt rely on this as a main source for keyword research but it seems like a pretty solid tool for those that are too broke to buy something and are just starting out.
Could you also name some other research tools (free ones) that someone just starting out could use.

I wanna use the tools available. Not stumble around blindly (asking stupid questions)
Thats why I ask about this tools accuracy so as it wont be a total waste of my time.
I use the search button and read soooo much here everyday.
Ill never start a worthless thread or try to inflate my post count (Ive seen tooo much of that shit here)
Ill never flame a noob for being a noob.....(I dont flame at all)
But if someones too lazy to use search....Ill lmao while these BHW members cut them to the bone.
