Would you continue working on a hit domain?

Hi

I have gotten hit by the recent update where I fell from the first page to the second page and some of the other keywords outside of top 100. Would you continue working on this site or change to a brand new domain? I have removed the 301 and was wondering if there are still hope.

Checked GMT and there are no messages so not sure what to do

If you were hit then you would be a lot further down than the second page. Sounds like an algo change and not a penalty so I would keep at it.

I got hit in the last penguin. No warning or messages and the sites are still indexed but went from Position one to three to outside the top one hundred. If your site got hit like that then bin it and start again.

First page to second isn't the end of the world, there's still hope to get back. Wait a week or two and see what happens.

Weird, everything was green and was threatening top 3 for each keyword. Now they fell once it rolled out. Probably because sites just got released and pushed me back.

If you've got a site that's been hit, do what I'm going to do; spam the fuck out of it to get into the top results for Yahoo/Bing and at least try and get some money back on it. I can recommend the comments from Pitbull Lopez on here.

I think it depends on how often they refresh Penguin.

If the site is valuable/irreplaceable and you take a hit, if the refreshes come a lot quicker it is definitely probably in your best interest to try to fix it.

However if they do these yearly refreshes, well not so much...

Minor drops should be worrying as they may be a result of many things, not necessarily a penalty or a penguin disaster.
