2. Buying accounts in bulk from someone and using those for normal working.
3. working with lots of Gmail/ yahoo accounts.
4. Spamming on sites like Yahoo Answers

I know it sounds rubbish but just wanna get a clear look. Have you guys ever consulted a cyber lawyer??????

It's not so much about the laws of the country (assuming you're not doing criminal acts), but it's about breaching the TOS of the sites you refer to.

Whilst breaching TOS is not a criminal offence, and not directly punishable, the sites in question could certainly take civil action against you - but if they're at all familiar with the Indian legal system, they won't bother

I dont think any of those things are criminal acts, so you should be ok.
Worst case you might piss off a big company and they'll make a move to sue you, but if it came to that you could back down Im sure.

Worst advice I have seen you give. No offence.
Ignorance of the law is not a valid defence in any court of law.
I urge everybody to research and take legal advice for anything they have concerns about.
It can save a lot of headaches and save you a lot of money.

It's not just the laws of India that are of concern. If you sell to customers abroad you have to follow their laws as well. I.e. when you sell to an American customer you have to follow Indian and American laws, specially if your service is of commercial nature.

None of the things you mentioned are illegal in India.

Actually they are not illegal even in US. Illegal as in they are not a criminal activity.

BUT, these activities do break TOS of the respective websites, so the website can sue you for it in a civil suit as it deems fit and claim damages. However you cant be sent to jail for this.

If you gonna make a site giving your real contact info and offer such services for a price, and if your site performs well and invite much attention then yes!! it'll screw you when the authorities get a serious complaint via a recognized lawyer..

Just don't mess with legal department of those sites and you'll be fine. I know many people who ignore c & d sent by these companies, that's not the right thing to do, you should immediately stop things you were doing when you get such letter. Also many people put wrong info in whois so they don't receive c & d's which is also a foolish move in my opinion.

Anyway, those websites react differently when people breach their TOS, so it depends entirely on which website you are on; some websites are litigious, some are not.

1. Facebook has been known to sue people for selling fake likes.
2. Gmail will ban your accounts or ghost them if you use them for YouTube comments.
3. Twitter usually bans people who buy fake followers.
4. Yahoo Answers will ban you, especially if people flag your posts (the people of Yahoo Answers all suffer from lissencephaly, so they think everything is spam or a "virus").
