What are the possible reasons, my back-linking has almost entirely dried-up the last few days - I have entered plenty of keywords, to try and get as broad a search for links as possible, but not a lot to show for the time put in. I'm Not doubting the underlying capacity of NHSEO to deliver, just wondering what I might need to do to tweek my searching for better results - thanks in advance for any suggestions other may wish to offer.
This might be usefull:
1. Make sure that you get plenty of "targets", ei. search results with lots of target sites to post to. For this to happen you need a working "proxy" or proxy server, that acts on behalf of your computer and with its own IP adress. If you use public "harvested" or "scraped" proxies, they might be overused by your or someone else and be flagged by google for doing automated searches. Google serves the human race, not bots, and will reject searches if they seem to be too fast for it to be man-made.
You also need to use a searchterm that is broad enough that you will find plenty of targets. This is very rarely a problem when searching for targets with a wordpress platform. Often you get more than 30 targets in a search for wordpress targets. But when NHSEO is searching for a Lazarus or AkoBook based site, you might not get any. Just a reflection of the sheer number of sites based on wordpress and less popular platforms.
For this reason you need to find a balance where your searches are not giving you 7 targets for wordpress and 0 for 47 other kinds of sites. The empty results are not a problem as such, but they force you to do more searches for the same number of targets. And soon your proxies will be flagged and need a pause.
If for one of these reasons you get few targets and a lot of "bad proxy" lines in the log (Bad Search Proxy: 178.18.24.115:3128) you need to slow down a bit. You do this by lowering the number of "allowed searching threads" in the "more" tab of the settings. How low depends on the number of proxies you have at disposal. One search thread for every 20 proxy is a good number for me and prevents unnecessary burn-out of proxies.
2. You need a set quality proxies - paid private proxies - for doing the actual posting. Navigating the exchange of data that results in a post with a link to your site is complicated, and most public proxies are prone to errors in this process. When indexing a link i normaly get 450 links. If I do my indexing with a public proxie im lucky if i get 300. If you have a handfull of quality private proxies you will improve over using public ones by perhaps 50 %.
These are to me the most obvious places to look for improvements.
