Can a domain name rank without content?

I got a domain name and i decided to redirect its traffic to a CPA offer, can I rank this domain just by using anchor text on web 2.0 articles?

that interesting, how you can rank a domain without any content or text on it? even with links to it. i saw parking domains ranking for some keywords but not domain without any content.

i see so i guess i didn't understand it right i read few people here claiming they had success with that method of redirect. so i guess it can work for short term

Exact match domains with a few links under it's belt will work for longer if the keyword is not too competitive.
