Hey guys, after reading t0mmys parasite thread I got inspired to do a spot of testing and this is what I've done:
Thread: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...9-parasites-pwn-leeching-authority-sites.html

1) Asked a question on answers.yahoo.com with my keyword in the title. The keyword has 18 100 searches per month in Australia. The #1 position is solid and is the EMD. I have a website that is in the top 10 and knew this would be a hard keyword to rank for.

2) I ordered a fiverr gig where they answered my question with my URL. Basically the question was asking for the best 'keyword' shop. The first respondant suggested my website and the second agreed with the first respondent.

3) I ordered another fiverr gig for 6k backlinks plus 15k tier two links.

Total cost: $20

I haven't yet received the links and they will take ~5 days. So I will update this when the links come through. I'm not going to try test the keyword position, because I don't care about that. I will report back with traffic numbers from the question because that is my end goal.

Will be interesting to see if theres an increase in traffic :)

Yeah I'm also interested in seeing analytics screenshots of the visits coming from that link.

1 parasite site is not enough.. how about u do 10 and 10 fiverr gigs? anyway thx for this experiment, I was thinking of starting the same thing, luckily saw this thread, subscribed!

Because I am testing it to see if I get any traffic from this. I have no desire to jump in and spend $200 when a $20 will be sufficient for now.

If you manage to rank this top 3 on Google, you'll mos def get more traffic and sales.

could you tell the parasite ? if not is it abc.com/para or para.abc.com

my bad....didn't read properly .

in my niche and country yahoo answers has been wiped out. replaced by quora .

Hey mate, I'm not sure that you understand the point of this exercise. If you read my OP there is a link to t0mmy's parasite thread. He explains the concept. It doesn't matter if people use it or not, the point is to rank it so it gets traffic and people see the link to your website.

This is not only good because your link is visible, but it gives the illusion of social influence. That is, people see others talking about it and therefore they are more likely to try the product or brand.

Hi OP,

Subscribed. Question though just for clarification. The 6K backlinks and the tier 2s are pointed at Yahoo, right?

Don't forget to index those 20k links.

yahoo answers work good in yahoo search , but they are loosing positions slowly in google.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I think my next target will be a watermarked YT video.

I tested this on yahoo answers before, results were decent but i had some hard time to reach top 3. After all my tests i found HQ news sites working best for this strategy, spam alone never worked for me you need some authority in the mix (PBN/SAPE). So I am eager to see how spam alone works out for you.

Below are the sort of results i am getting with HQ news sites.

9 Weeks old news site parasite (MEDIUM.COM)

Good luck with your case study.
