Goodbye Google PageRank

What does this mean exactly? No more ranking new sites???

Wonder what this means in terms of good backlinks. Until now, whether we like it or not, high PR links have been the only concrete way to rank well for difficult keywords. I mean there are a bunch of link sellers trying to push PA/DA/Moz crap, but people that know what they're doing know that PR was the real factor.

PR must still be relevant since rankings are remaining the same, it's just going to be tougher to figure out what sites are "most likely" high enough PR to be worth a backlink from.

Someone can make a killing by releasing a program that was good at accurately predicting PR ranges for websites by using backlink metrics, age, etc. Get on it, coders!

i dont care pagerank for 3 years, checking da,pa,alexa, hits and backlinks of the website.

Who cares? It's been an internal system for ages now. Anyone with a brain would know this.

Exactly, we've been hearing this same thing or a derivative of it for the last 10 years... BTW, you can download my free "Pagerank is Dead" report at... I kid, I kid, but I guarantee by the end of the week we'll see this very thing :-)

Peace,
Z

Nothing is changing.

The only thing that will change is link sellers basing their link prices off DA, which is an even bigger joke.

Fire up GSA and make all your domains high DA, and profit.

"Rinse and repeat"

"Scale up"

...but, nothing is really changing. Google will still score every page and just not make it public knowledge. Just keep building smart links.

Brace yourself for all the new BST threads about to hit with all kinds of new bullshit metrics...

i think they said something similar last year and boom it got updated.

personally I have had sites with zero PR rank faster then domains with PR so can someone please tell me why this matters

Here's a little bit of trivia. The person in that video, John Mueller, was the one who created gsitecrawler. I befriended him over 10 years ago. He was active in google groups and also on a forum that I was on. Google gave him a job because of his active participation in the groups. He's a very nice person.

Google is now hiding PageRank.

F*ck the newbs!

F*ck the world!

This is kind of update that I've been looking for and we all have to consider the other factors like DA, PA, Alexa,Trust flow, Backlinks, Hits and other factors to check the quality of websites.

haha and you believe what google says, good luck then buddy.

Never cared about PR before, never will. They will still take it into consideration, but just won't make this public anymore.

Yea, it just means they are going to start hiding the pagerank, doesn't really matter.
I dont think anyone takes much notice of pagerank now anyway do they, DA is a much better metric.
