Looks like there has been a change to GKP. I'm going to speak with our developer in the morning to get an ETA for the fix.
 
Hi,

I currently own UNF - and I understand there have been some improvements made recently, as well as a change to a subscription based software. So far so good. My question is, how is the competition analyzer doing? It was kind of broken before, and I'm wondering if it's back up and running, and what (specifically) it takes into consideration. While I find the price pretty steep particularly for a product I've already bought (any discount for existing customers), I'm willing to give it a try if it is working properly now. Also, if I have a big list of keywords (40k) that I need the competition checked, is UNF up to this kind of thing?

Great question. Like I've said before, I am extremely reluctant to change the pricing plan for my past customers. This is the absolute last thing that I want to do. With that being said, you will not be charged a subscription fee for UNF at this time. Neither will any of the other customers that have previously purchased UNF.

If anyone is having errors with with keyword expansion please follow these steps:

1. Login to Adwords using your username and password.


2. Navigate to Google Keyword Planner. If it asks you to confirm your user information, make sure you do that. This is why I was getting the same error that your received.


3. After you navigate to GKP, exit out of your browser. Restart UNF and run a keyword. It should run correctly. If it doesn't, please let me know.

Thanks for the response. There were issues before with how UNF calculates competitiveness.. that it wasn't very accurate, only used one result, etc etc. So question for you... is this fixed? Do you mind sharing a little about how it calculates competition?

I haven't looked at the algorithm for a very, very long time--too be honest. In the past, probably last fall or so, I did a an analysis comparing TT and LTP with UNF's results, and they pretty close. I haven't updated the algorithm to take social media into account. There was an issue with the data it was getting from MOZ, but it was a licensing issue and it seemed to work itself out.

That's where we are at. I've been looking around, trying to find some individuals to partner with to help the competition analysis as well as updating the program.

I apologize if this isn't the best answer or the one you're looking for.

If you have any ideas, shoot me a PM and maybe we can work together.
 
When are you going to use Paypal? My credit card here in the Philippines does not work! I guess I am going to have look somewhere else.

That is correct. New customer will have to use subscription plan at this point. We'll see how it goes over the next few months.
 
Can anyone offer some feedback about how is this software working at the moment?
 
I'm trying the software first time. I've setup adwords account and proxies, but when trying to expand keyword, I get 'Error loading page', what I'm doing wrong.

Same problem for me.
I think there is a problem on Google's end.

I can, however, do the query in Keyword Planner, save the Excel file, and load it into UNF to run the analysis.
I was also getting occasional errors when trying to download the file at Google as well.

Gentlemen,

I have a work around for the time being, but I need you to send me a note through our help desk. We are going to check if there was a change. I'll get back to you all when I have a better idea of what's going on.
