The captcha is downloaded using a proxy and this happens after identification. Everything after that uses the proxy settings again.



You should go with a Windows VPS server. A lot of times they'll install windows server 08 or 2012. Some will install windows 7 as well. I know if you're knew to VPS you might think it will be this crazy complicated process, but its actually very easy.

You sign up and after they provision the server you should get an email with an I.P. address (server I.P.), username and password. Then on your home machine you can click the start button and search for "remote desktop connection". (without quotes) You put the I.P. that you received from the email + username and password into the remote desktop connection and it will connect and bring up the VPS desktop.

From there you can open a browser in the VPS and navigate to this thread or the gsa website to download the trial. Once its downloaded you just install and enter your license info to unlock the full version.

I have a question about verified links and I'm sure this must have been answered but I can't go through so many pages.

My question is ....... we see large number of submission but very less number of verification. This is quite natural that all submitted links can not be verified immediately and will take sometime to go live.

Is there any option in GSA SER to run and find out what is the latest verification numbers or live links?

This will be great help, indeed.

SER will automatically run through a verification process after its been running a while. It will continue to try and verify links in intervals.

You can right click on the project > set status > verify only. This will force it to run through the verify process.

If your PC is old, I'm not sure how well it will run. It good to have at least a decent CPU and a few gigs of ram. Also, you will need decent internet speed.

Most people will run the tool on a VPS (virtual private server)

Well you can save failed URLS, but not specifically ones that failed from CB.

Yes, you should use proxies for best results.

Make sure the executable isn't running in the background. Sven said that's when this error can occur. If you don't know how to end the task via task manager, just try restarting the machine and install again.

I just tested and it worked fine on my end. (without anything in the folder)

I made a new folder then selected it and made sure I had it checked in the global site list options, then exported it and it worked fine. Exported to a .sl (sitelist) file.

You can always click the "backup settings" shown in the image and back it up into a .zip file. Then you choose the site lists you want backed up. You can restore it by clicking the "restore settings" and choosing that .zip.
