Only promoting never improve your ranking, Do your site have optimized onpage, if not do it first and then start promoting your website in decent manner, don't promote your your website where ever you like, it may lead to negative rankings. First check quality of your site content and do perfect onpage then your half work is completed, then start promoting, build quality back links and then check your rankings

Well, first do keyword analysis for your sites and then make it strong by doing ON page first.. Finally do OFF-page.. Do it in step by step respectively.. If you're a beginner then first know about the factors in the ON-page and OFF- page seo.. Once you started to learn, it will brings you in deep..
