How much are sponsered Pintrests worth?

So I got an email from someone this weekend asking if I wanted to be a sponsor for their Pinterest account. This companies account is differently in the same niche as I am but I'm not sure if its worth it or if its better to set up my own Pinterest campaign.

The company who made the offer has about 8,000 followers and is asking for $50 per sponsored pin or $1,550 per month if done daily. They do offer some discount down to $40 or $3,720 for 3 sponsored pins. This seems like a lot after talking with some very large companies that offered me to sponsor their pod cast with 18k daily listeners for one month for about the same amount of money. Any thoughts?

Not sure I got it right, but you said you pay them 50 $ to pin one of your pins ? To 8 k followers? ..... if that is he case unless 100 % of those clicks convert I would say it's not worth it. From my experience 8 K followers doesn't really do that much for you.

If you had a mega huge recipe site, or a mom blog or a gardening site, or your site was generally targeted to women, maybe you could spend $50 to "test" this service and see the results, I am saying this, because those are the "hottest topics" on Pinterest, since the majority of its users are women.

50 $ for a test is throwing money out Maybe a 5 -10 $ n then they can take down the pin after a few hours and make the calculations on that or smthn.

And yeah, in that case it waaaay overpriced. It also matters what are the followers interested in. I know most of them are women but .... not sure if people know ... they also are interested in more things. And what their response rate it. And like I said .... 8 k followers .... ain't nothing. And it's also important on how they got them. Plus, you could just get into a group board with 30- 50 K followers and bam ... free money.

I'm curious if this company has a special arrangement with Pinterest because what happens if you pay $50 and the pin gets reported and flagged for some reason.

Not sure the quality of the 8k followers. Of course, if it's high quality and relevant to your niche, the $50 isn't too pricy.

Hell pricy! I have 120K followers and I charge my clients $20 per pin.

Stay away. If you are going to pay for something, pay for Pinterest's sponsored pins. The application is on their website. I just filled mine out and am waiting to hear back.
