Promote an Fiverr clone?!

Hello,

I want to start a fiverr-like website in my country, because there isn't any similar website available here.
What is the best way to promote a website like that? I mean if I launch the website there will be 0 gigs..and nobody creates gigs on a website where there are 0 Gigs. I can't create fake Gigs because someone could buy them thats not reputable..
What do you guys suggest me to do??

Marketing purely depends on niche.. what is your main audience? On or Off?? Decide based on that.

Start with your friends and ask them to create some gigs. Or make some rewards for first people who create gigs. I've seen fiverr clones in several countries, they seem to be working well because there are a lot of local services that couldn't be promoted on fiverr.

Why you want to start with a copy of a project? Invent one of your own, one that reflects your personality, one that would be helpful for you.
No one is left with a history of success copying others. Maybe someone, but this is not the right way to do things.

Its hard to compete against the big dogs. Try to find out the things that fiverr is not offering to people in your country. Maybe you can carve out a niche for yourself that way.

That was a nice idea for website. The most important thing you need to do is "never give up" . You can't except your incomes to be grown first month. I really like your idea no matter in which country is it. Just keep it on your own and i'm pretty sure you will make some serious income's.
About marketing i think you need to hire some worker's for which you wont take fee's. Like hire one GFX master to place his gigs on your site and tell him that u won't take fee's . If someone pay's him 5$ he will get 5$

Who are your audiences and what is the demand like for such sites in your region? You may have to start small, perhaps try offering some services yourself and have attractive prices, you could then contact other service providers to offer them a free way to list their offers which I think they would not refuse.

Promote your website on ppc's.
Provide discounts for new sellers.
Gig offer buy two get 1 something like this.
There has to be a lot of investment if you want to compete or even get some where near it.

Search freelancer who provide services.Ask them to create gigs .then promote your site to the buyer.
