Trip to Japan!

So, I'm thinking seriously of making a trip to the country of my dreams within the next 1-2 months, Japan, I'm planning on spending there some 2-3 weeks.

I'm looking for suggestions from anyone from Japan or someone that has been there before to give me some tips on some places that I really have to see.

Japan is a big place, well not that big, but there's many people densely packed there, Tokyo alone has something like 35 million people.

Are you looking to go to the big cities? Get out to the countryside and do some hiking? There's a lot to see and do, and just being in Tokyo can be overwhelming for some. (Tokyo's one of my favoritie cities, in fact.)

... and don't bother with Kinki Japan guys... it's a travel agency named after a region. Ha hah hah.

Buy a Japan Railway Pass in your country before embarking on your trip. You will save lot of money on travel.

Good places near Tokyo - Nikko, Kamakura.
Should not miss - Kyoto - the old Capital of Japan
Far from Tokyo but worth seeing - Furano, Bie in Hokkaido, Beppu in Kyushu

I had this idea of seeing Tokyo from Mt. Fuji, is there any transport that travels through the mountain allowing you to see Tokyo from a distance, I always heard that this was a beautiful sight.

Also, where is that famous big indoor pool with simulated waves, is it in Osaka?

it's in Miyazaki. - The Seagaia Ocean Dome. but i think it was closed down on few years ago?!

Food to try-- Okonomiyaki, Shabu Shabu, REAL sushi!!
Try Shinkansen-Bullet Train
Dont worry about language. English is in all over Tokyo and in big cities plus we know English... if you speak slow, we do understand!

In Hiroshima, can you go inside the Atomic peace dome, or just see it from the outside?

Hmm i can only hope that one day i see a little return on all my hard work and get to travel the world and see what it has to offer. Theres so many places id love to spend time in japan is definatly one of them.
