A lot of people think it's ok to spam reddit, I just want to give you guys a heads up. Be VERY careful.

Reddit is a goldmine for traffic.

Here's the recent traffic I've been getting with just a little bit of reddit love.

However it's all fun and games until you get shadowbanned.

Ok so what? A shadowban. Not a big deal. I can just make a new account? Wrong. Once your shadow banned every single account your ip has ever logged into is also banned. On top of that any new account you create will be banned. So your ip is basically done.

If you make the mistake of not using a proxy, your main IP might just be banned.(That's what happend to me.)

So you're probably wondering why I got banned at this point.
I was posting images from the leaked celeb nudes on r/TheFappening It seems that subreddit got banned as well though.

Kind of sucks I had some very good accounts blocked.

It's not the end of the world though. I started a batch of new accounts and i'm working my way back up. My subreddits weren't banned luckily. And I can still log into the account and moderate the subreddit. I just cannot post.


Anyways guys I hope this helps some of you.

I had very bad luck with Reddit and had the misfortune of being shadowbanned as well :/ I actually did not know that it recorded my Ip so my other (non company) personal account was banned as well. It would explain why I never had any replies.

I have a highly contributive reddit account, but I only occasiaonlly post articles from my blog there. I don't see MAJOR traffic but I've yet to be shadowbanned because my articles actually generate discussion. what you need to do is just post targeted, engaging stuff that people will like.

Calm down there sport. First things first, I was not spamming. I posted a link to a nude image on r/thefappening and got instantly blocked.

I'm not sure what you consider spam, but this was definitely contributing to the section I was in. Reddit just went ban happy with the whole nude celerity leaks is all.

I wans't using proxies because there's no need to for me. I was doing absolutely nothing wrong. That's the whole issue here.(I guess I didn't clarify well enough.)

It's not that reddit shadowbans.(Lots of companies due. Pinterest does as well.) It's that they might ban you for little to no reason. They're very strict.

It's incredible how big brands are successfully spamming Reddit. You open the front page and you see advertisements disguised as some "curious fact".

I suggest you see www.reddit.com/r/hailcorporate for some samples of successful marketing posts gone by as organic "interesting posts" Just mimic what they do and you'll never be banned and spam Reddit at will.

Reddit users are very though but can be a very good source of traffic as well. You should be able to make new accounts using private proxies. Did the traffic convert well?

Depends what the goal is with the traffic. Reddit users aren't buyer traffic so I really wouldn't waste my time on that. For applications where you're driving traffic to sign up with your site, it's slightly better and the ease of getting the traffic makes it a worthwhile venture.

I gotta say though that I really do believe in the quality of my content unlike the majority of people here promoting rap.

Reddit very different to use with proxy. Past year onward i use US proxy. But still never get ban from Reddit.
