Hello there

Are services managed or un-managed?

Thanks

Thanks for the question. Services are unmanaged. I don't believe anyone is able to provide managed services at such price without sacrificing service quality due to spending money on staff, rather than investing in hardware and connectivity.

Thanks for the question. .NET frameworks 4.5 is fully supported.
Virtual Servers in the Cloud range are provisioned manually (OVZ with Linux is automated and instant), which means that it can take up to 3 hours to get your VPS running. Usually much faster, though.

Hi, I'm looking to buy Cloud #1 - $11.99/month or $129.99/year. Can you confirm that it'll support .Net Framework 4.5?

Also, what is the setup time? I would like to buy once my current subscription is over in a couple of days.

Just purchased a server today. I'll report back in a few months with a review. Thanks again

Seems like a great hosting service. Waiting for my current hosting plan to end, then i'll try this one! :)

For a limited time you can get 2 years Advanced shared hosting package for $99.99 - that's $4.17/month (Original price: $7.62/month). No coupon code needed to get this offer! Just come to http://www.sharkservers.co.uk/web-hosting/, select the Advanced plan and 24 months billing.

I'm a customer of SharkServers for a while now and I'm super happy with the customer support, reliability of the server and prices.
Highly recommended!

I purchased a server on Saturday. They said it's the weekend and it will be ready for me on Monday. So I waited till Tuesday and nothing. Sent him another message he responded and said sorry I have a small business your server will be in in the next day or 2. It is now Friday. I haven't got anything back, sent him a few messages. At this point, I just want a refund. If no response by today I will be putting in a paypal dispute. I see he's still posting on the forum. If he's such a small business every customer should mean a lot to him and he should be updating me daily about the server. I would just be happy with a hey sorry this is happening but nothing for a few days. Thanks

I'm sorry that you've had such experience with us. As I explained to you already, servers are delivered to our data centre from our warehouse by courier. This usually takes some time. I am happy to discuss this with you, but please note that Skype is not our primary means of communications - as we have stated on our website, please open a support ticket or email us for help. Skype is not official type of communication channel for us.

I also offered another server with almost identical parameters that could be ready the same day, but you said that you'd rather wait.

As for your server, here's the courier tracking - https://www.collectplus.co.uk/track/X6HVHPV
It should be delivered soon.

I also offered a free month of hosting due to this, and I again apologize for the delay.

Why not tell me that it was gonna be 2 weeks before I get my product. This isn't amazon. U said Monday. I waited patiently. Please refund me. Also don't say add me on skype or even have a skype if it's not a main source of communication considering we did all our business through. Also u said you are a small business and since ALL of our communication was done through Skype, I figured u would have the common sense to come on there and say hey look I told u this the server isn't here yet sorry. Please just tell me when my refund is done. Thanks

Because I didn't know how long this will take. Some orders are next day, some 2 days, some even 3. You never know when you're employing services of an external company for deliveries. Besides, I never asked you to add me on Skype - you just did it on your own.

Refunded.

Sharke is a good server company. no worries they are just slow but I have them for 2 years with no problem

I'm sorry, but you're confusing us with a different company. We're not slow, and you're definitely not a customer of ours for 2 years - we've not been in business that long.

MY REVIEW

We took one of the Linux VPS from SharkServers and have been using and testing it for the past 6 weeks.

Short Review: Brilliant! 10/10

Long Review:

We are currently building an App that needs to interact with a server. Although for this sort of project we would usually use a solution like AWS or a custom built dedicated server, we decided to use this project to trial the SharkServers VPS.

The feedback from our developers has been really positive - beta versions of the App in Australia, USA, UK and Romania are getting consistent, really fast response times.

The server latency, even from Australia, was very low.

Uptime so far has been 100%

We did undergo a server migration from the initial server to a new one due to a stability issue which was identified by the guys at SharkServers.
The migration was seamless, went without a hitch and only required a DNS record update at our end.
Nice and simple - all sorted in a few minutes.

Support issues are handled very quickly and go directly to someone that knows what they are doing, rather than a Level 1, 2 or 3 support desk system that some of the bigger VPS providers operate.
This is a major plus.

So far we are completely impressed and couldn't ask for more.

Genuinely, this is as good as a VPS service gets.

I will write a further review in a few weeks once the App is out and being tested by our Beta testing group.

If anyone is looking for a VPS, I can wholeheartedly recommend SharkServers.

Best wishes with your business and the BST Ben, I can see you becoming the go to guys around here.

I'm tempted to try your shared hosting, since my current host sucks. My only concern is downtime and support, since I can't afford anymore down time from my previous host provider.
One more thing, do you use SSD drives on your shared hosting servers?

Thanks for your question. I can assure you that you will not experience any downtime, except for server/network maintenance, which happens very rarely and is usually very quick.

Unfortunately, we do not use SSD drives on shared hosting servers - they do not handle dynamic data very well yet and they have relatively short life. Instead, we use 6-8 15k RPM SAS drives per shared hosting server in RAID10 - incredible speed, I can tell.
