What is the correct method to check how many backlinks my domian has ?
someone told me to use " link:www*domian*com"
Is it correctly ?

Shows backlinks that Yahoo sees at least.

but that only show backlinks in yahoo not google.my some domians have more backlinks in yahoo, but have no any backlinks in google .

No, Google just doesn't show them, even though it counts them. Either sign up to Goggle webmaster tools (all banklinks are shown in there) or go to yah00.com and type linkdomain:yourdomain.com

yahoo link explorer and also try to use the Link Scape tool from the SEOmoz tools to spy on your competitor's backlinks.

Just go to a site called backlinkwatch. You can check anyone's backlinks there.

Although your format for Goggle is correct, this will not display ALL of your backlinks, in fact typically it returns very few backlinks. You need to join Goggle webmaster tools to see all of the backlinks that Goggle recognises.

The Google search won't return ALL of your back-links. You'd be better of using Google Webmaster Tools or one of the sites people already have mentioned before.

Apart from Google you could go for seoquake pluggin for firfox.
