First of all, why its called a network? From what I've read so far, interlinking the PBN sites is strictly "no no".
Backlinks should come from niche related sites/pages (ideally). So if my money site is in "health" niche, PBN should be in "health" niche too .. am I correct?
So I make one money site then .. lets say 10 more sites using expired domain on same niche .. then send a backlink from them to the money site? Did I get it right?
Doesn't it looks fishy when google finds a site with low amount of content and low activity/visitors only sending link to "one" site? It will look even more fishy when google finds similar type of multiple sites doing the same for the same site. I mean .. there must be a catch .. that I am missing. Otherwise everyone won't be making PBNs. What is the catch here?
I've read some guides on how to create PBNs .. I don't see much discussion explaining how PBN works or what is the proper way of creating link between PBN and money site. Something like that would be very useful for starters.
Why we can't interlink the PBN sites? If they are all in similar niche then they should be benefited by it and so flow more juice to the money site. Now I must be wrong but please show me why.

- It's called a network simply because you are dealing with multiple websites belonging to one or more people or supporting one or two projects (or money sites). These websites don't have to be interlinked for them to be eligible for being called a "network". After all, that's just a name. What a PBN does is much more important than what it's called. Some people build niche specific blogs around a main money earner and those may also be called satellite sites. Sometimes people even monetize those.
- Ideally, you want related domains to link to your money sites, but once again, due to the lack of resources, but mostly being a matter of ROI, we just insert those relevant links in relevant articles posted on generic domains. Think about this the NYTimes way. They cover almost everything that's going on on this planet, except aliens lol. So these days you're safer if you go about page specific niche links, otherwise you are doomed to be spending a ton of cash on niche relevant websites that you still don't know are enough to rank your money site. And it even becomes a bigger problem when you invest all that cash, build that network around a 'potential' money site that you are not yet sure will make money.
- A more sure-proof way to use PBNs would be to invest in already established websites that have a proven earning record (it doesn't have to be big) with pages ranking somewhere and driving a little bit of trickle traffic. Building a PBN around that website to increase its earnings is a much safer bet then starting a brand new money site and hoping you'll hit jackpot with this one.
- One good piece of advice, in my opinion, is to avoid using both expired domains for your money site and your blog network. Keep things separate. While there is no proof that having such domains both for your money site and your network will drive more attention from a Google reviewer, I highly recommend you either purchase an established website ready for more backlinking from a PBN, register a new domain or buy a good quality pre-owned domain in the same niche or market, but which didn't yet drop.
- Actually, there are a TON of websites online which Google indexed that are getting little to no traffic. These websites do link to external stuff like wikipedia. Failed startup bloggers, etc. Believe me, take a look at major services that sort sites based on traffic and popularity (like Alexa for example) and you will be amazed how few of those websites do really get a steady amount of traffic. When comparing those number to the overall possible existing websites in Google's cache you will realize it's just pure non-sense to be worried about such stuff.
- Everyone wants to get onto the PBN bandwagon these days simply because it works, it does the job. It ranks websites and makes people money. It's one of the safest ways of link building and now the ability to launder link juice to your money site by finding or buying pre-owned expired domains with quality links is simply a great opportunity for all SEOs out there. Things are just starting to get hot.
- The way a PBN works is very simple. You 'launder' link juice via the right anchor text to your money site with the goal to increase its position in Google and other search engines. Alternatively, you can 301 redirect the expired domain to your money site for generic authority. It may not immediately boost your SERP position though, but will definitely help with the overall authority of your project in the long run. Ideally, you want to create a nice looking website, post relevant and well written content and insert links pointing to the root domain or one of the pages of your money site. However, the main problem, both short and long term, is ROI. You see everyone is providing advice on how to build safe PBNs and not get busted by Google, but those "safe" methods will take years and no one gives any guarantee you will make money, especially if building your network around a new money site.
- You can interlink your network of sites, but only if you build really solid ones and slowly transform each one of them into money sites. In more competitive niches you can get in trouble for link trading. However, if all the sites are yours you can probably get away with it. Not recommended with competitive markets where competitors are thinking day and night how to push your website down the SERPs. At the end of the day, it would simply be better and safer to just avoid having any connection between your PBN sites. Ideally, keep them in separate registrar accounts (in batches) and make sure to use different persona (real or fake) when registering them.
