Hey guys, I couldn't find a previous thread about this so here goes

Lately, I've been building a FAQ page for my website and did some research about how effective a FAQ page can be and various ways to optimize them. But the posts I read are some years old, and we all know how much things change :<
So the method I read that was most effective was to have a FAQ page that would link the questions to separate posts, which would then be properly SEO optimized.
I haven't tested this and don't even know whether I should take time to do so much for a simple FAQ
To the more seasoned SEO'ers, I'm wondering whether you bothered at all to make a FAQ page and how you handled them?
Thanks!

EDIT: Also, I was wondering because answers to specific questions generally tend to be pretty short and brief, even if you do try to fluff it up. So my answers would be roughly 300-400 words, which I heard could penalize my site or such? How would you handle the situation? thanks!

I've heard that since hummingbird, having a FAQ is a good thing. I don't know for sure though, as I haven't really done any research into it.

You just can use your key words and search queries from users on your FAQ page.
In any case it will not be superfluous
You also can create a different pages for each question it will bw even more effective

Anything that adds more useful content to your site that would help the reader is a good thing.

Also, if you include the word FAQ on each page/post where you answer one of these frequently asked question, this will alert Google to the fact that this is an extension of your main FAQ page.

If you use the correct keywords for your site on your faq page it will surely be helpful in search engine visibility, even by a little. Every extra page with good content, helps your site rank a bit higher.

Having a FAQ page represents professionalism. It is a PLUS according to my opinion :)

Yes it helps professional wise. Dont know how it affects seo though

Yes, if it's comprehensive and provides value. It's good for ranking questions about your brand name.

With good quality content very page help you to rank. If you are thinking about FAQ page, I suggest you to use correct keyword on the FAQ page. It will help you to get rank.

Any time you have a page of unique related content on your site it helps. With a FAQ, you want to make sure that you don't use the exact same thing for the FAQ answers as you used elsewhere on specific pages.

I do however nofol*** the links to the page. No sense link sculpting a FAQ page.

Make sure that your text in FAQ page is a lot (like 1000/2000 words). You can do Seo using keywords.
Link other site's pages in FAQ's with ******** and help Google to understand the organization of your contents.
