Does Tumblr ban because of putting link on image, and link in the image description?

The answer to your question is: yes.
They ban regardless, so it's best to build your strategy around quantity and simply outpace the bans.

I would say no. They will be more likely to ban you for using Hotmail to register your account.
They themselves added the feature to add a link to an image. They can't ban you for using functionality that's already there.

Depends on your strategy, I use a long term strategy, and right now bans are the last thing on my mind. My blogs all have 10k plus followers and are old enough that I don't lose any sleep at night...

It can actually depend on alot of factors. If you're spamming the link everyday = ban. Slow and steady wins the race

If you're spamming, posting affiliated links then of course yes.
Otherwise the chances of getting banned is too low.

If the link is to one of your own posts, there shouldn't be an issue, so long as the link goes to a new page/post every time. If you're using an affiliate link or a link to an illegal site (against TOS), then you risk ban.

If you do not spam your link then you should be ok, also hide your affiliate links on a landing page do not raise any red flags.

Why hotmai only?

Tumblr ban for no reason. I've had accounts banned that had no outbound links.

I got 03 Tumblr Acc with thousands followers ..XXX and I added link to all pics posted ..those linked to my main website ...
Everyday I only posted 05 pics ...but they banned and deleted all 03 acc in one day

Most times tumblr banned any of my blogs, was because I placed adds on the site, redirected the traffic, or linked directrly to an aff link. use tumblr as a traffic source instead.
