Sold $3.5k worth of shit in a day. Also my first PPC campaign!

Investment: A few minutes on finding a good product and some keyword research, $10 on AdWords and the time taken to make a badass, aesthetically pleasing landing page.

35% conversion rate.

w00t. Not a big deal to most of you, I'm sure, but it was nice to check my stats and see that return for so little work. Hustle hard. :D

Nice, congrats on your first earnings. Hopefully you'll make even more as you get more familiar with PPC etc.

Short and simple just how I like it!

EDIT: What is that $3 and 5000? What is $3.5k? $3500 ...Sorry I am confused here.

i don't know if you're getting paid because amazon said they no longer accept PPC traffic..

They no longer accept direct linking traffic. the OP clearly stated he was using a landing page.

a landing page for just one product? or is it like a catalog of products on your LP?

Yep, $3500. And it was just one product that I targeted very carefully.

I think that's nonsense. I got a newsletter today where they said that they will introduce a new comission system that supports "direct linkers".

But there will be a 10€ limit for all products expept DVD, Music, Books and Mp3-Downloads.

That may only be in non-US markets because that would contradict an email they sent out on the 6th:
As of May 1, 2009, Associates will not be paid referral fees for paid search traffic. Also, in connection with this change, as of May 1, 2009, Amazon will no longer make data feeds available to Associates for the purpose of sending users to the Amazon websites in the US or Canada via paid search.

You cannot direct link anymore for Ebay US, Ebay Cananda, and Endless as of May 1st.

If he made a 6.5% commission, on $3,500 of sales he would have made about $228 in commission. If he only spent $10 like he mentioned that is a 2,280% ROI. Very nice.

I have a question...when you say you put up a landing page....are you refferring to a place like squidoo or are you meaning your own domain, hosting?

he made $139, check his little attachment screen shot. that's only 4% of $3500, so it sounds like he is promoting electronics :)

Most likely his own domain. Squidoo wouldn't work as a landing page for a PPC campaign.

I certainly hope not...
Why? That is the commission rate for Amazon's electronics department.

Yeah, it's whatever though. Once I'm pimping my own shit and not just getting commission I won't really give a fuck. =)
